37 TopicsModerated Channel - mobile users can still "meet now"
Hi there, I have found in our org-wide channel that even though I set the "general" channel so only Owners can post, I have found that in the mobile app, users can tap "meet now" - meanwhile on the web and PC app they cannot. The latter (NO meet now icon) is the expected behaviour, so I think it's a bug w/ the mobile version.886Views0likes1CommentMS Phone System - SMS texting?
We have a number of field personnel setup with Teams/PSTN calling plans. They assumed that their PSTN number would be able to send/receive SMS text messages to interact with people outside the organization, but this doesn't seem to be the case. (Apparently RingCentral supports this?) We just had one field sales rep complain that their lead had been texting her, but she never received the text messages. Of course we don't want to share personal mobile numbers with business contacts, and having a separate PSTN number and Mobile cell #'s just to support this seems excessive and old school, but maybe that's the only solution. Are there any plans to support this type of functionality? I don't necessarily care whether it's Teams or Skype for Business client based - but the ability to interface Microsoft Phone System PSTN with SMS is what we need. I see some third party products that give you the ability to text from SfB, but they do so by assigning you a dedicated additional telephone number - clearly not the solution that would work for us. I'm using iOS 11.2. Every time I start up the S4B mobile app on my phone, I get this error message: "Saving phone number disabled due to the server policy". It doesn't seem to cause any actual problems, everything still works normally as far as I can tell. Any thoughts about what might be causing this error message, though? My colleague with an identical phone isn't experiencing the issue. Thanks, Rob4.3KViews0likes7CommentsSkype for Business Online Extension Dialing Mobile App
Hi, We have a SfB 2019 Hybrid with SfBO and On-prem PSTN with Audiocodes mediant 1000b with IIS ARR 3.0 as RP. When we move a user to the cloud, he is suddenly not able to dial out with extension from the mobile app. When he tries he instantly gets "The call couldn't be completed. Please try again later." He is able to do the same from a PC though... When I move him back to on-premises, he is again able to dial extensions from both phone and PC. I found and set this up for a few test users, sadly without any success - https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/cloudready/2017/08/01/skype-for-business-online-extension-dialing/ Am I missing something? I cannot find any other information on this topic... It looks like it should be possible I just don't know what I am missing here. Hello When setting up a new iPhone for a user I noticed that the iOS app (6.23.0) ignores the user name from the advanced settings page and uses the SIP account instead. In the event log of the Skype for Business 2015 server we see failed logons with name used for the SIP address instead of the user name. A week ago when we setup the last iPhone for another user it still worked. Regards, Reinhard Schuerer nascom GmbH897Views0likes0CommentsSkype for Business iOS client

I'm finding Skype for Business Application Version: 6.21.0.17 on Android 8 forgets the users credentials when managed by Intune. The app reprompts for credentials when restarted after the phone restarts or the app is forced to close. No other MSFT apps managed by Intune forgets the credentials. This is a major blocker on us rolling out the app. We've raised a call with MSFT support, but wondered if anyone else has seen this.547Views0likes0Comments
