Hey everyone, I recently got an Aura Edition https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/lenovoauraedition/, and I’m super excited about the AI features. However, I’m running into issues trying to set up Windows Server on it. The installation isn’t going as smoothly as I expected. Also, I’m wondering if the AI hardware or features could be causing conflicts with the setup. Has anyone else set up Windows Server on a similar AI-powered PC? I’d appreciate any tips or advice on what to look out for or how to optimize the configuration. Regards, Charlie177Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft RD client Android app url scheme is not working
I've been using a legacy URL scheme in my Android app to open the RD Client app via a deep link and initiate an automatic connection with a remote server. It used to work fine, but now it's no longer functioning. Is there a change in the URL scheme that hasn't been documented, or perhaps an update that affects this functionality? Can someone guide me on this issue?252Views0likes0CommentsHow do you configure Windows Server?
I am unable to Log on to your server as a nearby administrator. When you Open Server Manager, and click on Add Roles and Features the window is closed. How to Select server roles, choose the Windows Server Essentials like in my hot favourite subject Maaco $300 https://paintsbeast.com/maaco-paint-job-cost-for-your-car/ 2022 Experience role. I am unable to dialogue box, click on Add Features, and click on Next.1.4KViews0likes2CommentsGive Remote Desktop Licence from W server to W 11 Pro
In my network I have both a windows server 2019 Essential PC and a a windows 11 Pro PC. In both I have configured windows Remote desktop (RD) but only the first one allows me to log in to 2 users simultainously. Even tho I did the following to the Win 11 Pro PC: Log into the server and open MMC.exe. File → Add/Remove Snap-in → Group Policy Object → Add → Finish → OK. Double click Local Computer Policy → double click Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Remote Desktop Services → Remote Desktop Session Host → Connections. Limit Number of Connections = 4. Restrict Remote Desktop Services users to a single Remote Desktop Services session = DISABLED. it doesnt allow me to log in with a second user if the first isnt loged out first. So I realized the problem is the lack of the neccesery licence, only found in windows server. This is why I ask for your help to find a way to use the licence installed in the Windows server PC thats in the same network, to give to the Win 11 Pro PC the capability for multiple RD users. Can you help me? Thanks in advance970Views0likes0CommentsWindows Multipoint Server connected to a Network Switch
Hello! I have this project for my undergraduate degree and our client (which is a school) uses Windows Multipoint Server 2012. I have been learning about Multipoint Server and how to use it lately since it is very new to me. What I don't know if it is possible to connect the Multipoint Server to a network switch which gives services to the PCs in the access layer? Our client mentioned that the server has 4 main connections (or PCs, I guess?), 1 connection having 3 user accounts. So, I was wondering if it is possible to connect them to a network switch which has more than 10 PCs connected. EDIT: This is for a computer laboratory with at least 20 PCs. One of them will be used for the Windows Multipoint Server 2012. Services would be file server and AD. The network switch that I'll be using is a 48-port managed switch. The connection will be LAN. Thank you in advance.735Views0likes0CommentsAlternative to ISA Server or Forefront TMG
Hello, I'm an IT administrator in a company and working with Windows Server 2016 Datacenter. I was looking for an alternative to ISA Server or Forefront TMG to control and limit our user's internet usage and bandwidth or other features. I'm amazed that Microsoft has stopped supporting such a great service!!! Is there any alternative or solution from Microsoft??! if it's not, then what is it??
