Windows App drops connection with 407 Encryption error
This has been a recurring problem since updating to macOS 15.0.1. Running Windows App to connect to a Windows 11 laptop on the same local network I'm seeing repeated connection drops with the same popup: "Your session was disconnected - Your session ended because of a data encryption error. If this keeps happening, contact your network administrator for assistance. Error code: 0x407. This is continuing with the latest Windows App update (11.0.5 Build 2401). It also happens with the release level of Windows App. This makes Windows App barely usable since connections are constantly being dropped every few minutes.
Error 0x1807, cannot connect without manually logging in first
This issue is present in both the Remote Desktop App and the new Windows App. The frustrating thing is this used to work in earlier versions of RDC, and it works correctly in non-Microsoft clients like Parallels Client for MacOS. The issue is with NLA (Network Level Authentication) when the remote PC is a domain member but is not on the domain network (for example connects remotely through VPN). If the machine is rebooted, you cannot connect to it without physically logging in first. Otherwise you get error 0x1807. Steps to reproduce: * Use PC that is part of a domain but is not connected to the domain network (guest wifi, VPN disconnected, etc). * Reboot PC * Attempt to connect with MacOS Remote Desktop or Windows App. * Receive error 0x1807. * Manually log in to PC, then attempt to connect. * Connection works.
MacOS - Windows App Preview - Mouse Cursor Disappears and Import From RDP File
Running on MacOS. Recently updated from Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta app to Windows App Preview. Found a couple issues with the new app: After exiting a session, the mouse cursor disappears, so you cannot see where you are in the app. This also extends to areas outside of the app, where the mouse cursor is not visible on other areas of the desktop. While in the app screen, as you move the cursor around, icons like edit & delete display while near a PC or Workspace, but you can't see the cursor. Please add the Import from RDP file to the app toolbar. Currently have to access it from the Connections tab on the MacOS menu bar. Previous desktop had this in the app toolbar. Add additional layout customizations in the app main area. Smaller icons and additional grid options.
CMD+W no longer closes session, but window within remote session
This bug applies toVersion 11.0.5 (2398) ("Windows App Beta" for Mac): The shortcut "CMD+W" was previously used to close a session. But since the last update (today), the shortcut closes windows within the remote session. It's well possible that this is by design, but now there is no shortcut to quickly close a session. Windows App preview connection drops
HI Team, I used the windows app preview to connect to a workspace url and remote desktop. Since upgrading to MacOs 15.0, connection very frequently drops. Initial connecting works often - not always, but if it works it the Remote Desktop stops working within 5 -120 seconds to a 'reconnecting' state. Sometimes it recovers from state (for a few seconds), otherwise it just gets stuck. If connection is not working at all, therer is often popup about a potential expired password. As a result the Windows App Preview is no longer workable. Windows App for mac should be able to import all connection settings from "Microsoft Remote Desktop"
Windows App for mac should be able to import all connection settings from "Microsoft Remote Desktop" I use the current"Microsoft Remote Desktop" app extensively on my mac, and have dozens of pc's defined in multiple groups, plus a workspace. Do I really need to set all of this up again manually by individually saving and importing rdp's for each machine? It appears that way from the beta. Will the prod release allow you to migrate your setting from"Microsoft Remote Desktop" to "Windows app"? PLEASE!
Copy and paste isn't working in Windows App Beta11.0.5
OS: macOS Sequoia App: Windows App Beta Version 11.0.5 (2401) Support ID: 37F4A119-01BE-4004-9DF1-EC683B0241C9 I can't use the copy-paste buffer to bring text or files into my remote machine or out of my remote machine. This works well when connected to my remote machine using the old Remote Desktop app in macOS.
