least privilege
2 TopicsProblematic to use WAC as a non-administrator
Hi, I have a local installation of WAC on my virtual PAW (Windows 11). So naturally I am not an Administrator on the VM, but I have privileges in the domain. This is sometimes a pretty painful experience as WAC seems to require admin permissions to work smoothly. Every time an update arrives from windows update I need to put the user account in Administrators (locally), logout and in and run WAC. The plugins also requires this. Is there no better way to do this? (Yes I know it is not a daily problem, but other tools handle this totally effortless, why not WAC?)288Views0likes0CommentsLocal printers & universal printer connector & server delegation
Hi everyone, we have 2 people managing "Universal Print" in our company. We installed the connector on one server and you have to add the printers, remove old etc. Is there any way to do JIT rights with no 3rd party tools? As this is a task that happens one time every 3 months i do not want to give them admin rights to a server. Following the least privilege principle Windows Admin Center maybe? What is your solution on this? Best regards Stephan506Views0likes2Comments
