When is Microsoft going to bring Microsoft Authenticator windows aka desktop or within edge itself?
When is Microsoft going to bring Microsoft Authenticator windows aka desktop or within edge itself? (People like me lose mobiles) Isn't Windows device considered anything? Only mobiles and android and iOS devices matter? People like don't store important info on Windows devices? Edge has support for in-built password manager like chrome with chrome and google passwords then why is edge not having 2fa support on windows yet in 2024? Is windows still usable if my phones goes for service center, dies randomly, or is stolen? Can I consider windows devices to be of valuable in 2024 or should I shift 100 percent to android and MacOS and ios? Should I throw my windows devices out of window since it is not dependent device when any other fails? On a sidenote, I tried checking out butWinAuthAuthenticatorexists for Windows PC is open-source & offers 2-step verification (but unfortunately not updated since 2016) so why Microsoft which focuses so much of AI of everything has been able to bring desktop version for windows users? Or am I asking too much in the name of security and privacy that big tech promotes all the time? Can we trust microsoft and windows devices? Or is everything going to be done by google and chrome?
Edge on iOS does not allow download
Hi Microsoft team, I am using an xhr request to download a pdf (or a zip) file from our servers. Most browsers support createObjectURL(blob), however for IE/edge, I have been using msSaveOrOpenBlob to save the blob data. iOS Edge however, neither does not support msSaveOrOpenBlob, not does respond to createObjectURL. So what should I do to download a file in iOS edge? Other considerations A simple GET request to the url is not an option as the files are behind a session. Even if I set a cookie to set the session (which I prefer to not) and perform a GET request, iOS edge allows you to successfully preview the pdf. However upon tapping 'open with' performs another GET request and seems to ignore the cookie entirely resulting in failure to download. Thanks,

I’ve tried ‘press-holding’ on almost every UI element and checking every menu I could think of, but I can’t figure out how to “Save all tabs to favorites” on the iOS version of Edge. (Searching online for a dozen minutes didn’t turn up anything promising, either.) Am I missing something obvious, or has this perhaps not yet been implemented yet? (I can’t imagine syncing favorites would have came before this basic feature)
File is not Downloading IOS 15.1
Hi Everyone, I am facing issue in Microsoft Edge browser as default browser in my iPhone, I am facing issue while Downloading the file, whenever I click on download link I can see some progress on the browser process but after waiting for a while nothing happens, while expected scenario is on click of a Download link File should be download and it will open a popup with the respective File Name. I tried the same in multiple browsers and result is same except the Safari Browser, it is working normal in Safari Browser. I am searching for some of the settings but not able to find such. Below is the Specification: iPhone : iPhone 13 IOS : 15.1 Browser : Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox.
Edge Mobile UI refresh / customisation
I would love to see an updated mobile UI - primarily taking another look at the bottom toolbar/menu as I think the current icons aren't necessarily the best use of space. Specifically, I think the back/forward buttons probably aren't that useful for the majority of users as the same actions can normally be performed via swipe gestures, or (in the case of Android) built in navigation in the OS. These buttons could probably be relocated to the secondary flyout menu. In their place, I think it would be much more useful to have a new tab button, and most importantly a search button - which essentially gives focus to the URL bar. A lot of users frequently request placing the URL bar at the bottom to make it easier to reach, but Brave implements a search button on the bottom bar (see screenshot), and I've found this has completely removed the need for a bottom URL bar. I'm sure countless others will disagree with how I'd personally like my icons set up, which is why, like most things - I think the abilty for users to customise the UI to suit them would be best. We already have this option for the secondary menu, it would be great if the primary UI menu could be customised in the same way.[FIXED] How long can Edge mobile keep using Chromium 77 and still receive updated security patches?
Edge on Android is now on the latest version, the same as Edge desktop, everything is new and up to date. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/new-edge-canary-mobile-version-available-now-updated-chromium/m-p/2275690 Edge beta mobile (Android) is using Chromium 77.0.3865.116 at the moment how long can it stick to version 77 and still receive security patches, bug fixes for zero-day threats etc.? like this one and what's so special about version 77 of Chromium? what made Edge team choose that and stick with it for such a long time!? lastly, is there ever going to be a time where we will be using up to date Chromium engine in Edge mobile, just like on computer? i really need someone from Edge team answer to this, I'm using it on my own device and also made others close to me to switch over to Edge too, so I'm a little concerned here. and this is something many people in different topics talked about.Edge on Android isn't available for opening PDFs
Android 9 pie and latest version of Edge Android beta, in the file manager when I "Open with" on PDF file, Edge isn't available. I'd like the same features we have on desktop, Mac, Linux to be available on Android and IOS too. if you want the same, please send a feedback through Edge browser about this. thank you
