If we have a shared mailbox, lets say a years worth of history of emails, several folders in it, and we want to "migrate" over to an O365 Group: Does the conversations/inbox of a group have folder capabilities like a Shared Mailbox? Can you drag and drop/copy old emails into the group somehow? Can you drag and drop/copy conversations into your mailbox somehow? I had assumed the Group conversations acted like a shared mailbox, but now that we are testing it out, I dont really see that at all.Solved47KViews2likes13Comments[New!] Drag and drop conversations into groups

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to save the attachment from an email in a O365 Groups mailbox to the O365 Groups Files repository? It seem like the only way to accomplish this is to save it down to a PC dirve first and then upload it.Solved10KViews4likes16CommentsUsing Office 365 Groups without Exchange Online
Hi My company would like to start using Planner and SharePoint Group sites (and OneDrive group documents). But since we are using another email solution (at this time) we plan not to enable Exchange Online licenses to our Office 365 users. 1) If no solution on: Do anyone know if it´s possible to deactivate a O365 user personal-mailbox, but give access to o365 group mailboxes? 2) I see that o365 Group member administration is tight connected to "Exchange online". This is not a good thing given that we plan to not enable Exchange Online licenses to our Office 365 users. Is it any plan to disconnect O365 Group member administration from Exchange Online? 3) If a user without Exchange Online license in Planner in the ... dropdown menu he/she will have possibility to eg. click on "Conversation". The user will then get a NOT Nice web-page telling "Something went wrong". These menu-elements pointing to Exchange Online should have been hidden if the user is not assigned a Exchange Online license. Do anyone have thoughts around this? Br. As you start a group either in Outlook or in Teams, you put an entry in Azure Active Directory. This is also used for your Global Adress Book for Mail and Skype. Is it possible to enforce a naming convention for the different groups? Apart of the sanitization purposes it could also be handy for future functionalities. I can imagine a function for teams to join a skype meeting together or somethin similar,.. So a way to enforce a naming convention for groups (teams) would be very helpful. I don't like the idea of unleashing a mass of unreal email adresses or users on my user population.Solved9.1KViews2likes18CommentsConvert O356 Group to personal mailbox
Im trying to convert a O365 group to a personal mailbox. I'll do it manually, because I know that there is no way to do this in Exchange Center. My O365 group is client1@mydomain.com. I already created a personal mailbox named client1-mail@mydomain.com So this is my plan: Migrate all the mails from the group to the personal mailbox Change group mailbox alias to client1-old@mydomain.com Change personal mailbox alias to client1@mydomain.com Do you think this is possible? is the best approach? and finally, is there a way to send all the O365 old mails to the personal mailbox? Thank you in advance and sorry about my english.7.3KViews1like5CommentsOffice 365 group mailbox access on mobile devices
Hello dears, I am new to all those Office365 Groups/Teams/Sharepoint but I need to learn quickly since I'm in charge to roll out those last two within the company. Currently, I had a distribution list I wanted to upgrade to an office group to give access to Teams and also resources such as files. We finally had to create a new one and delete the DL since it was on our premises and could not be updated. But there is something that I don't understand about the email address that has been created. When the group is created, a mailbox is also created with the name of that group. It can be accessed in the group section of Outlook and you can also receive a copy of mails in your personal one. But what can you do to see those emails on your mobile device if the copy is disabled? Isn't it a kind of shared mailbox? I can't even see groups on the mobile version.Solved3.2KViews0likes2Comments
