When I visit my website on edge, I cannot see the Immersive Reader button. How do I get my website to support Edge's Immersive Reader features?(Such as adding a meta tag to my website, adjusting the layout of my website, etc.)1.1KViews0likes4CommentsSuggestion: Allow us to change the font color in Immersive Reader mode
We have access to all of these colors for the background color in Immersive Reader mode in Edge but no option to change Font color. Font color only changes from black to white when background is black. It would help me make the text better for reading by choosing a different font color than black when I'm using a background color that is not white. https://streamable.com/pr5os2.5KViews7likes7CommentsSoon we are getting more mini/bubble style context-menu options on Edge
Edge Canary has this option in the appearance settings (controlled feature rollout) "Mini menu when selecting texts in PDFs" is referring to this but notice, it's not just a single toggle button, in fact it's an item of a longer list, or group. also obvious when you look at that part in dev tools. another sign is that at the top it says "Context Menus" yes, plural, more than one. my guess is thatmore of these bubble/popup style menus will show up soon. the next place is probably going to be Immersive Reader mode, where you don't have to right-click on highlighted text anymore, or keep going up and down to use the toolbar items repeatedly. you just highlight a text and all the available options will automatically be presented to you. it could also hint at customization abilities that might be coming to the regular right-click menu and maybe let us customize each option that appears there, to shorten it and tune it to our needs, since many people, including myself, complained that it's getting too long1.4KViews2likes0CommentsIssue in showing site information in the Immersive Reader
The site information in Immersive Reader in the latest versions of Microsoft Edge stable and Insider channels shows that "Your connection to this site isn't secure"which means that if a user sees this, then the user will be thinking that viewing that site in Immersive reader would be insecure, after seeing it multiple times on different websites viewed in Immersive reader, a user might take a thought that using Immersive reader would be insecure and would not use that feature at all, this is misleading. I had sent several feedbacks about this for months, but I got no response and this issue is still not yet resolved. I am requesting to fix this issue as soon as possible.Solved1.7KViews2likes4CommentsAnyone else also notices this black square at the end of every immersive reader page?
This mysterious square appears on every page I turn into immersive reader mode. it happens on Edge canary, it happens on Edge stable (ver. 87 and 89) I've sent feedback for this as I think it's not supposed to be there, clicking on it does nothing, so it's a redundant element. if you can see the same thing on your Edge, please send feedback from Edge (shortcuts: Alt + Shift + i) so that hopefully it will be taken care of in a future release.1.7KViews1like3CommentsFull page web capture doesn't work in Immersive view mode
It's been like this for a while, after today's Canary update still not fixed, Version 89.0.711.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) if you can please try to replicate this problem and if you succeed send feedback through Edge browser (with problem recreate), I've already sent one. example websites to use where immersive reader button is available, this and this steps to reproduce: press the immersive button in the address bar make sure you can scroll down and up press web capture button and take a full-page capture you should see that the web capture only captures what's shown on the screen, i.e. it doesn't take a scrolling capture, as it is would outside immersive reader mode.1.9KViews1like3CommentsNew feature: Picture Dictionary in Immersive Reader in Edge Version 83.0.461.1
this new option added to EdgeVersion 83.0.461.1 (Official build) canary (64-bit) simply double click on a word and a picture will appear showing you what it means this is an article belonging to Edge legacy and demonstrates how this feature works and is useful. https://educationblog.microsoft.com/en-us/2018/03/immersive-reader-update-picture-dictionary-speech-colors-roaming/3.2KViews3likes5CommentsSuggestion: Ability to add Immersive reader pages directly to a Collection
I would like to suggest a feature where we can add the Immersive Reader Pages directly into collections. Today we can only save normal webpages to a collection whose URL starts like this: http:// or https://. But we should also have the ability to save Immersive Reader pages directly into a collection whose URL starts like this read://http_ or read://https_ which will help many students and readers to easily navigate to their Immersive Reader webpages. If you like this feature and want it to be a part of the upcoming version of Microsoft Edge, then you can also send feedback through the in-built feedback tool(Alt+Shift+I) in Microsoft Edge to give this suggestion a +1.663Views1like0CommentsSuggestion: New option of reading view in Immersive reader
There should be a new option in the Immersive Reader of Microsoft Edge where we can view pages side by side like a book same as reading view in Legacy Edge and Microsoft Word. I think that this type of viewing will be an easier option to read for many users. If you like this feature and want it to be the upcoming feature on Edge, then send feedback through in-built feedback(Alt+Shift+I) option in Microsoft Edge or if you are a Windows 10 user and like this feature, then you can upvote it through the feedback hub app by copying the following link and entering it into your browser: feedback-hub:?contextid=455&feedbackid=1fc95a98-6c4d-46b4-8bb0- 24e5d3ce31a6&form=1&src=1788Views1like0Comments
