Have enterprise IE mode set up and xml site list working but is there a syntax for using local htm files on the C drive. Have a piece of software that default launches its manual in non IE mode and need IE mode for it to work. Have seen no references on how to do local files although launching it with C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --new-window --ie-mode-file-url file:///C:/ProgramData/index.htm works in cmd Have tried various formulations of url="file:///C:/ProgramData/index.htm" comes out as expression below under edge://compat *://file///c:/programdata/index.htm3.3KViews0likes8Commentsedge 116 does not work ie mode by enterprise site list(when login edge proflie)
Edge vesrion 116.0.1938.54 (64bit) os : win 10 pro 21H2 When it was not version 116, the ie mode of the edge was used as a list of enterprise sites as a group policy (or registry). However, with the official update to version 116, ie mode's list of enterprise sites does not apply. In edge://compat/enterprise, "emie sitelist cannot be parsed" In edge://policy/, "InternetExplorerIntegrationLevel" and "InternetExplorerIntegrationSiteList" have a status of "error, Ignored" . What is unusual is that this symptom occurs on the PCs of people who connect and use the profile of edge. Even if the synchronization setting is excluded, the enterprise site list does not apply. I must proceed with and use the profile logout unconditionally to apply. I think this is a SW bug... Please correct it as soon as possible...5.1KViews2likes8CommentsDistinguish if using Edge or Internet Explorer
Hello and greetings from Portugal! Before the IE desktop app retirement I would like to know which users still open Internet Explorer directly, but because IE Mode uses iexplore process I'm having some difficulty to find how to do it. Does anyone have some ideia how to do this? Best Regards, Diogo Sousa924Views0likes2CommentsIE Mode - Page not loading and constantly restarting
We have a few apps on our network that require IE Mode. For most users it seems to work reliably. I have 1 user using IE mode in Edge, where when trying to access the site, the tab will spin, close, re-open, close, spawn a new tab, and each of these tabs will constantly spin, close and spawn new tabs. If I close the browser, it will re-open and repeat above. The only way to make it stop is to reboot the PC. So far, it is just 1 user. All other PC's I have checked appear to work fine (so far). I have tried to reset Edge to default settings, scanned for virus's/malware, disabled and then re-enabled IE mode, tried to reset IE Mode URL's. Nothing appears to work. Has anyone seen this before? Hello, We use IE enterprise mode to access a legacy application. We are able to upload files to the application via a popup window without any issue on IE11 Enterprise mode. When we try to replicate the same flow on MS Edge Enterprise mode, MS Edge attempts to launch upload popup and abruptly close MS Edge. Any suggestion on behavior is much appreciated.2KViews0likes1CommentHalf the tabs opened in IE mode hang and display error
Hello, I am a developer at MicroFocus working on a functional testing product, and we are trying to integrate IE mode support in our product. We are using these command line flags to start Edge in IE mode: "msedge --ie-mode-force --internet-explorer-integration=iemode". In our testing, we found that when opening a new tab in this IE mode, half the new tabs opened will display a 404 "The webpage cannot be found" message. Attempting to navigate in any of these tabs will just hang indefinitely (the UI is not hanging, but the tab is showing the loading icon). When we try to start Edge in IE mode with our product running (which hooks a dll into every running process, and detects running windows and some other things), it seems that the hanging behavior is always happening in all the tabs. Attempting to attach to the IE process on startup (we do this by setting SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\<program_exe>\Debugger=vsjitdebugger.exe) seems to make things worse, the IE process doesn't even show the "404" message and hangs before starting the second iexplore.exe process. To me, this sounds like a timing issue or some race condition which is made worse by anything that slows down the execution (like a debugger, or programs that hook DLLs). Is there any way of solving this issue? We can provide memory dumps if necessary. Thank you.841Views0likes0CommentsChange IE Mode Engine in Edge Chromium
I'm running Edge Chromium v94. I'm testing out IE Mode but I don't see any way to on the fly change the IE emulation mode of a given site. In IE11 you could do this in developer tools. I need to test various sites in Ie11 Mode and IE5 mode. Is this possible or do I need to use an Enterprise Mode Site List?559Views0likes0CommentsInvitation: Join App Assure for a live Q&A on June 30 on how to configure IE mode wit Microsoft Edge

We have configured our domain as an allowed domain for bypassing SmartScreen. However, for sites in IE mode, the setting seems to be ignored and certain downloads are blocked. If I open the site in non-IE Mode and download the file, it's not blocked. If I open the site in Internet Explorer and download the file, it's not blocked. It's only when the site is operating in IE mode that the downloads are blocked.1.3KViews0likes2Comments
