I'm curious, about OneDrive Group Policy settings. Knowing that the ADMX Template files come down when the Sync Client is installed, if there a list of any updates to those ADMX Templates like Microsoft Office's templates have an Excel file that show changes, etc.? How often are those ADMX Templates updated? The IT Admins - Use OneDrive policies to control sync settings - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn page doesn't list when there are updates made to the ADMX files. What's the recommended best practice for how often an Enterprise ADMX Central Store should be updated with the updated templates?2.4KViews0likes1CommentExclude specific file extention from OneDrive sync
Hi all, we are going to move the Know Folders to OneDrive For Business via GPO. We would like to exclude some kind of files (such as .pst or .mov) but we can't find any policy to do that. There is some administrative template we need to add? There is some other way (via reg key, for ex) to do the same thing? Thank youSolved14KViews0likes2CommentsRedirecting / syncing "3D objects library" to OneDrive
Goodmorning all, I have a bit of a challenge redirecting/syncing the library "3D objects" to OneDrive for Business. This is something a user can manually do, but i want to configure this through a policy for all users. There are no built in GPO's for this so i've tried everything like adding registry items regarding 'user shell folders", tried sym links but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a good suggestion or is this setting simply not possible to manage centrally? Best regards René1.7KViews0likes0CommentsGPO seems to initiate Onedrive sync connection
Hi all, We've upgraded to SharePoint 2019 and want to use the Onedrive sync client to sync documents from SharePoint sites on-premises. When deploying the GPO with the registry settings it seems the sync client is automatically started on multiple users devices. This causes lots of mysites to be created in the background. We have learned from Microsoft support that the mysites creation is by design and currently there is no way around that, but we want to limit the automatic sync connection. So only when a user actively syncs something should a connection be established. When setting the registry keys manually the connection is not established automatically. Does anyone know which setting is responsible for automatically connecting the sync client?780Views0likes0Comments
