Greetings all, I am trying to use the modern file viewer web part on a page to simply display a portion of a given spreadsheet on the page. I can successfully select the spreadsheet, choose Range, and then am asked to specify the Sheet name, Starting Cell, and Ending Cell for the range. Doing so errors out with "The named item is either not available in the workbook or was not selected as a named item for viewing when the workbook was published. The named item may also be located in a hidden range of cells or in a collapsed outline." There is no help on the page to show what example values are for the range options, so i'm not clear i've specified the Sheet name, starting cell, and ending cell correctly (seems obvious however). THis is a basic scenario, so i'm thinking this should work easily enough - any ideas what i'm doing wrong? Much thanks! Hello there, I'm responsible for technical training and SharePoint administration for my company. I have developed a training on some of our new Office 365 systems and I wanted to show my PowerPoint in a Modern Page on our intranet. However, my Animations do not seem to be supported. IT and Technical trainings can be a little dry and the animations are pretty critical. I have tried: Embedding the file instead of using the File Viewer web part Setting up a Slide Show and using that within both the File Viewer and the Embed web parts Is there any documentation that might explain why this might be happening?6.8KViews1like3CommentsInvoke-SiteSwap breaks File Viewer web parts
Hey everyone, We did a site swap of our root URL using Invoke-SiteSwap, and it worked perfectly. That is, until I was going through the site pages and realized that none of the File Viewer web parts were correctly implemented. I don't have a screenshot, but it said the file could have been temporarily moved/discarded/something like that. I checked and saw the File Viewer web part was looking at the old root URL path. We had 1x .docx, 4x .mp4, and the rest .pdf files. The .docx and 1 of the .mp4 were fine, but the rest were broken links. Our SharePoint site is relatively small compared to other tenants, so I just manually fixed all the File Viewer web parts that we had. I also didn't wait too long because I got impatient. Should I have given it more time before jumping the gun to fix it myself? Would the File Viewer web part have fixed itself after sometime? Did anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance!1KViews0likes2CommentsFile Viewer web part does not handle Word documents when they are in a one-third page section
Using a File Viewer Web Parts in a SharePoint Online modern site I found that a .DOCX file would not display correctly when configured in a small (i.e. one-third) of the page section. Specifically, the document showed up but with no download or open controls . Other file types (e.g. .PDF, .PPT or .WMV) all worked perfectly. The File Viewer and .DOC worked perfectly, though, when in a larger page section (half-page or full-page). The attached image shows the problem: I used the same .DOCX file, each in a File Viewer web part. The only difference is the size of the section. Note that below the larger section, you can see the controls that support download etc. The same controls are not displayed or accessible in the smaller section. Any ideas?1.1KViews0likes1CommentPDFs are not showing in the modern File Viewer web part
Hello Community, I was trying to use the modern File Viewer web part to display a PDF on a modern page. But for some reasons I just couldn't see any of my PDF file in the Site selector even I am 100% sure files are in this document library. I end up just copy and past the URL of this PDF to the web part, but is this how it supposed to work? Does anyone experience the same behavior here? ThanksSolved8.8KViews1like8Comments
