Unblock thousands of educational websites in one click with Family Safety on Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Family Safety helps empower you and your family to build healthy digital and physical safety habits tailored to your everyday lives. It allows you to create a safe space for your kids online with content filters to customize what they can and can't see online while using Microsoft Edge. Family Safety recently launched a new feature, Always allow educational websites, where families can now allow their kids to explore thousands of educational sites with a simple toggle. Parents still can manage which educational websites should be blocked based on their family needs. To try out this new feature: Visit Family Safety on Microsoft Edge at family.microsoft.com and log in with your family account or create a new one. Select a family member you would like to apply settings for. Navigate to the “Content Filtering” tab and turn the “Only use allowed sites” toggle on. Turn on the Always allow educational websites toggle. Learn more about how to set web filters online What counts as an educational site? We classify educational sites as websites that may be needed for remote learning, completing homework or for after school enhancement. Child account with Family Safety active can browse InPrivate after closing user session in Edge
Hi, I have noticed my child normally could not use InPrivate mode in Edge (in Android), but apparently he can browse InPrivate after closing his user session on Edge. Other browsers are blocked, but there is a way to prevent him using InPrivate mode (not allowing him to close his user session)?Microsoft Family safety feature is not working with Edge Android or stable on Windows 10
My account is the group's organizer, the Microsoft account that I've added to my family group, as a member has Windows 10 latest version 20H2 with Edge stable and Windows Defender on laptop. signed in with the same Microsoft account in Windows 10 and Edge profile. when I add a website to be blocked in here, it's never blocked, I can still access it on Windows 10 using Edge stable 87. does anyone have any experience with this that can help? only if you've done this before successfully.
