Hello, I am trying to figure out if it is at all possible to display an Exchange Shared Mailbox Calendar in SharePoint online. OR How to add a link to a website to the Shared Mailbox Calendar I've found this article but it is geared towards a individual sharing their calendar. Also, trying the same principles on a Shared Mailbox Calendar isn't working although my Sharing Policy is set to all domains. We are in a GCC environment.19KViews2likes4CommentsUser photo showing up everywhere but SharePoint user profle
Hello. I'm aware there're many threads about SharePoint user profile pictures not showing in different ways. We've been facing an issue which I couldn't find a solution nor fix it myself. We're using Exchange Online and set user profile photos with a scheduled PowerShell script via Set-UserPhoto. This works as intended and the photo is showing everywhere, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Delve etc. The only place where it doesn't show is in the SharePoint user profile service's user profile. You know, the /_layouts/15/tenantprofileadmin/ProfAdminEdit.aspx in the SharePoint admin center. The mysite collection where these pictures are supposed to be hosted contain the LThumb, MThumb and SThumb thumbnail placeholders but not the actual photos. As far as I understand the logic is that when using EXO a user has to browse his Delve profile page which will trigger a sync to the SharePoint user profile - not so for us. I've experimented with the two settings that should have an effect on this sync mechanism: - SPS-PictureExchangeSyncState - SPS-PicturePlaceholderState As far as I interpret those settings SPS-PictureExchangeSyncState means that unless this is enabled not photos can be pulled from EXO and an admin has to manually upload a photo in the user profile service. SPS-PicturePlaceholderState I think indicates whether or not a picture has been set if it's 0 and set if it's 1 but I'm not sure if it's the other way around. Anyway, apart from manually setting the picture here it's not pulling from EXO. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate your comments. Hi everyone, I'm facing a really strange problem with the Team Site / Office 365 Group creation. Yesterday I created a new Office 365 Group connected Team Site from the SharePoint landing page in Office 365. The creation of the site seemed to work as expected and I was able to browse the site afterwards but when I looked at the Groups section in the Office 365 Admin center I noticed that it was showing the wrong e-mail adress for the Office 365 Group. We have configured groups to be created in our own domain, not the onmicrosoft.com domain, but for this particular group the onmicrosoft.com address was showed. I took another look in the Exchange Online using both the Exchange Admin Center and the Exchange Online PowerShell module and there the group looks fine, in other words, it is listed with the correct primary e-mail address and the onmicrosoft.com address is shown as an alias. When I created a team for the existing group in Microsoft Teams, that also seems to be working but when I try to change the image for the Team I'm not able to that as all the buttons are disabled and greyed out and I'm presented with the message "We're still setting up your team, you can change your picture when we're done." As I said, the SharePoint Site / Office 365 Group was created yesterday but the problems mentioned above are still there one day after the creation. Any ideas what could be causing this? Is there a bug in the Office 365 Admin Center causing the group to be shown wrong? -Mattias5.1KViews0likes2CommentsUse modern team sites and communication sites without Exchange online mailbox
Hey everybody, We are planning to use sharepoint online for Collaboration within our Company. In order to keep things simple and easy to use for the users we plan to use the modern Team sites and modern Communication sites. On first sight everything's cool. But together with the teamsite an o365 Group is created. This isn't a problem as long as the users have Exchange online license assigned. But in our situation this isn't the case - we haven't rolled out EXO to our users. We have configured Exchange hybrid and also configured Groups for hybrid according to this tn https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt668829(v=exchg.150).aspx, but have no user mailboxes online yet. As a consequence in the Team site there are multiple links and controls that point into o365 Group in EXO (e.g. to manage users, or to see the conversation or to check mails from this Group). The problem I'm facing right now is that users will run into error Messages all the time as soon as they follow one of these default links or controls. Do you have an idea if the modern team site can be created without o365 Group in the Background or to hide controls that point to o365group management in EXO? Really appreciate your comments!
