I am trying to help a client clean up some very old lists and sites. However, whenever I try to delete anything, I get the message above. I've checked for an eDiscovery site, for classification labels/policies, DLP policies, and am finding nothing. Any ideas?Solved111KViews2likes15CommentseDiscovery Center SharePoint site
As I am cleaning up unused and obsoleted SharePoint sites in the SharePoint Admin center, I am wondering if the site https://blueiceclimbing.sharepoint.com/Sites/eDiscoveryCenter can be safely deleted (the site was automatically created by the system). Navigating to the site, I get a message saying: "Creating new cases in the eDiscovery Center in SharePoint is no longer supported. You can create and use eDiscovery cases on the eDiscovery page in the https://protection.office.com/?UccRedirect=true#/ediscovery to manage your investigations https://support.office.com/en-us/article/eDiscovery-in-Office-365-143b3ab8-8cb0-4036-a5fc-6536d837bfce?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US#ediscoverycases". Microsoft has again introduced a manifest error in the SharePoint on premise Discovery Download Manager. It took them about a year to publish a patch when they did this in SharePoint Server 2013. Lets hope they get the fix out for "SharePoint Server 2016" and "SharePoint Server 2019" much faster.
