[SUGGESTION] restrict horizontal movement when scrolling horizontally
Hi all, I've been using the Microsoft Edge beta build 79.0.309.11 (Official build) dev (64-bit) on my laptop. Since it's a laptop, i've been using it predominantly with a touchpad with windows precision drivers. While using the browser, I found that scrolling on the touchpad (two finger swipes) often result in some horizontal movement at the end of the swipe, possibly due to my fingers not swiping completely vertical. Might be due to the back and forward swipe gestures too. This results in quite a jarring experience especially when following text while scrolling. May I suggest that if the browser detects vertical scrolling after a certain amount of distance, the horizontal scrolling is automatically disabled? If i'm not mistaken, most touch based devices do this.
Cannot see the new Bing-AI button in Edge Dev
Hello, I have recently installed Edge Dev 111.0.1660.6 and later updated to 111.0.1660.9. I did this because I wanted to try out the new Bing AI features, but the button that should be in the top right corner doesn't show up for me. I already passed the waitlist and can use the Bing-Chat features, but somehow I can't access the "AI Sidebar." Can anyone here help me fix this? Thank you in advance!
Edge Dev 101.0.1193.0 will not start
Just started this AM. When I try to open Edge Dev, it pops an all white window and then closes with no error. Downloaded and reinstalled, repaired but still fails to open. Nothing of note in the event log. Any ideas? Guess the next step is to remove it and reinstall.Anyone down for Edge logo options?
So is it me or the new Microsoft Edge log not as fun? You know what would be fun? Options. I would love to see a buried settings options for the type of logo we can have. Hell, I think if they give us the option to swap between the Spartan Logo, Edge logo, and New Edge logo that will be fun. I love options and Windows has always been the better bet for it. Let us have fun with one of the most important apps we use on our computers.
Edge Dev (latest version) crashes when autofill tries to open
Hey there, Yesterday i spoke with a guy from Microsoft's Support (the official one ofcourse) for like.. 4 hours... trying to resolve my Microsoft Edge crashing and the autofill on several websites (including microsoft.com itself) to not function, like.. it pops up but i can't press any of the saved items. Does anyone.. have a clue at all? The Support person already tried reinstalling, clearing cookies, cache, extensions etc etc.. it's just not working. I'm honestly clueless.How to make Edge Dev as the default browser in Microsoft 10?
Hi everyone! Is it possible to make Microsoft Edge Dev my default browser? Every time I try to change it through Windows 10 "default app" settings, the settings window keeps crashing and nothing changes. Any idea how to solve it? Thank you!
Thread Tabs - A feature suggestion for Edge browser
The vertical tabs feature in edge has eased the browsing experience a lot, especially for browsing web for research work where we have to open so many tabs to dig into a topic. As we have vertical list of tabs, it would be very useful to organize these tabs into threads, where whatever tabs are opened from a main tab will be its sub tabs. While browsing for multiple topics by expanding and collapsing these sub tabs would make it more easy to organize the vertical list of scrolling Tabs. I am just trying to give a rough idea for managing tabs in a better way. I have been using edge dev version since the day its launched. The pace in which you all are getting feedback from us and in implementing them in the earliest you can is highly appreciable. In your path of improving the browsing experience in better way with every update, I am positive the concept of "Tab threads" will be loved by all of your community. I really hope you bring this feature in the upcoming builds. Thank you.
How to clear "All data from the previous version of Microsoft Edge"?
Browser version: Microsoft Edge Dev 90.0.818.0 Operating system version: Windows 10 Dev 21332.1000 Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to "Settings"-->"Privacy, search, and services"-->"Choose what to clear", and open the "Clear browsing data" page; 2. Check "All data from the previous version of Microsoft Edge", and click "Clear now"; 3. Open the "Clear browsing data" page again and check the option. Expected results: The "All data from the previous version of Microsoft Edge" item is not displayed. Actual results: The "All data from the previous version of Microsoft Edge" item is still displayed, as shown in the figure:
