content control
3 TopicsHow to set properties of content controls in xml/xsd
Hi all, In Word, I have an xml file for the content controls that I use in templates. I use this file from >Developers >XML Mapping Pane. Currently, my xml only lists control names:, like: <XXTemplates xmlns="XX_templates"> <XXDocDate/> <XXDepartmentName/> </XXTemplates> I would like to add some properties to these definitions, like type (date, text only, etc.), default tag, default info text, locking information, etc. I have searched the internet, but so far, I have found no simple help for this. The only thing I have discovered, it that I need te create an xsd file for this? And what statements should it hold? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Greetings, I'm looking to replicate the following, only with Intune and Defender for Endpoint: https://kb.smoothwall.com/hc/en-us/articles/6401257533980-Limiting-access-to-in-app-browsers-on-iPad My first question is if this is possible? I'm administrating supervised iPads and iPhones for a small entity, and we are in need of filtering the in-app browsers differently than we do Safari. The goal is to specify Defender as a Third-Party Plugin in a profile, and specify exceptions to that profile by bundle ID (ie, Safari). So I'm wondering if Defender can be configured to allow a whitelist of URL's? If so, that's where my knowledge is coming up short. I'm learning as I go on this; I hope I'm making sense. I am trying to create a multi-page document/template where I only enter specific information once. The best example I can provide is the Letter Templates that are available when you select File-New. If you select a letter (let's use the Resignation from board template), when you change the "Your Name" at the top of the letter it also changes the "Your Name" in the signature. I want to create this same functionality by creating new controls (or document properties, etc.). I do not want to have to create default values in a table someone else in the document. I have already read the document on creating new custom properties (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/view-or-change-the-properties-for-an-office-file-21d604c2-481e-4379-8e54-1dd4622c6b75?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us#viewcreate16 this requires a value be added in the table when the property is created - and I have been unable to find this property or use is anywhere in the document. I want to create the same functionality that exists in the standard letter templates that come with Word. I am using Work 365 and I have the Developer tab visible. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.Solved3.5KViews0likes4Comments
