Hi, We currently have a number of document libraries on our communication site using the new list experience for our clients to view files. When we attempt to edit the meta data in "Quick edit" mode the library becomes extremely slow to the point where it is unworkable. If we set the library list experience to classic the data can be edited without any problems, shouldn't the modern experience be quicker? Does anyone know if there is a way, or any settings we can alter to make our document libraries perform faster in the new list experience? Failing that, is it possible to create a view for editing that displays the classic experience and a view for our clients to view files that uses the modern experience? As I can only find an option to set the library to one or the other. Cheers, Lee Millar933Views0likes0CommentsModern grouped view not displaying results
I have a Modern library filtered and grouped view that displays "Show All" when the expanded group exceeds 30 items. Upon clicking "Show All" or the group heading itself to view all items in that group, it does not display any results, however it works perfectly in Classic experience. The library has hundreds of document sets – one for each Job Request – so we have created a view that filters for Document Sets only and excludes several values of a Calculated Column (i.e. "Job Status" is not equal to...), then group by the items by the same calculated column ("Job Status"). The problem appears to be grouping using THIS calculated column (contains IF statements) – the same view works when I select any non-calculated column or another concatenated calculated column to group by. When I re-introduce this particular calculated column for grouping (even at a second level) it fails to display results again but again will do so correctly in the Classic Experience! PS: Also, is there some way to configure for more than 30 items before "Show All" appears (PS: I have increased the collapsed number of groups to display value but this doesn't affect Modern "Show All".2KViews0likes0CommentsSharePoint Online: Target Audience in Classic experience

Hi all, we've implemented an boolean archive flag that marks archived files with yes. Now I want to add a refiner to classical search to show: - not archived - archived - both Files. My problem is that for the "not archived" case I need something like "Show me all files with archive flag equals false or not defined". Is it possible to implement this with a simple approach? My internet research doesn't give me a helpful answer. Thanks for any advice, Ingrid1.5KViews1like2CommentsChrome 69 - No Classic Experience?
Hello, I recently updated to Chrome 69 and it looks like since then Classic Experience is not available anymore (SharePoint Online). When I use Edge or IE it shows the Library in Classic but in Chrome it always shows it in Modern Experience. Has anyone else seen this? Anyone have a fix or workaround? Document library check-in/out is being enforced by default even though it is not selected on the library. In uploading a document to a document library opened in classic mode that has a required field and check-in/out is not enabled, the document gets uploaded and I am offered the properties to fill out that but I get stuck in this endless loop where I can't update the required field because system wants me to check-in but it won't check-in so the document stays checked out.
