Blocking Download Access to Teams Channel Meeting Recordings
Our review of the Videos chapter for the Office 365 for IT Pros eBook found a Teams meeting policy setting we hadn’t documented to block downloads for channel meeting recordings. Naturally, this was a disaster, so we spent some time investigating what the policy setting does and if it’s useful in practice. Ownership of Channel meetings
When I create a channel meeting, or a calendar meeting with a channel attached, the organizer gets set to the "team" name. [Additional details; The equivalent Outlook item is where the organizer appears as the team name, in the teams calendar it appears I am the organizer of the meeting... it's contradicting itself. Further the invite in Outlook and any cancelation comes from the team name, rather than me.] Is there a way to create a meeting with a channel relationship and retain me as the organizer, in the Outlook item?
Only owners can post messages - but users can create channel meetings
We have a department team with a "General" channel. Only owners are allowed to post messages there. But by accident a user created a channel meeting at this "General" channel. Since it is a "only owners" channel, the user should not be able to do that IMHO. Is this a bug or a feature?
Files tab not showing in meeting details of channel meeting
Dear community, I was told that when you schedule a "Channel meeting" you will be able to see a "Files" tab when you open the meeting details from the Teams agenda. However this does not show in our tenant. I only see Chat, Details and Planning Assistant. How can I activate the "Files" tab in the meeting details with channel meetings? We finally finished our exchange hybrid setup and it's working good so far. But there's one thing that's not working and that is when I create a new scheduled meeting and add the Channel there. I can submit the meeting but I only get a rolling circle next to the meeting in the calender. Any ideas what could cause this problem? Thanks
