Poor performance specific actions
Hello, I wanted to start this discussion as I didn't saw threads about these issues. Sorted by importance First: Specificly on MS Edge no matter on which version there's a seriously noticeable window drag delay when dragging the window on a touch enabled device using your finger or a pen this issue is not present when using the mouse. Also not present on Firefox or other windows apps I don't use chrome as Edge is just top notch. I noticed that the GPU on edge does not get that much utilized compared to firefox when dragging also when the device is plugged in this issue gets weaker not gone but less noticeable might suggest that this is connected to Edges power saving measures? Second: Scaling PDFs especially when drawing got slower I know alot has been changed in order to have the best performance for pdfs but maybe there can be done more to prevent these lags. Third: Regarding vertical tabs the animation feels really choppy and downgrades the experience a tiny bit Hardware Specifications: Surface Book 2 i7-8650U Intel UHD 620 iGPU Nvidia geforce 1050 dGPU 16GB Ram Do others also experience similar issues?Edge only restore one window with tabs
Edge do not restore all windows and tabs, only a single windows with all tabs from only that window. Bug: Restoring a live event not working after chatting
There is a bug in version 1.4.00.16567 on MacOS (11.5.1). When you chat while watching a live meeting, the meeting is minimised to a small floating window. After some clicks, the click handler on that small window breaks, so you cannot restore the video to cover the full teams window any more. Clicking on the video just does nothing. The only options you have then is to make the live event window full screen or minimized to a small window. This should be fixed.
[Downloads UI] Legacy UI is used when a download comes from a pop-up window
What is the issue? Edge now uses a modern-UI for handling downloads: an icon on the toolbar, just after the end of the Address Bar, which shows a vertical-list of downloads. However, when a download starts from a pop-up window, such as from the Microsoft Update Catalog site, the old-UI is used instead, which feels a bit inconsistent! Expected outcome That only the modern-UI will be used. Proposed solutions My preferred-solution would be to add a setting into Edge where the user can ask for pop-ups to load into a new tabs, instead of separate windows -- Internet Explorer 11 had such a setting. This would then mean pop-up content gets treated like any-other tab, and so would use the modern-UI. Alternatively, when a download starts from a pop-up window, the parent-window should come to the foreground, and the download then begin in that window. Teams shows edge tabs, not the window when trying to share, and it does not work
When i am trying to share a Edge Chromium window with Teams, I get all the tabs in the browser shown to share and not just one window. See screen shot. I can select a tab and share but it does not work. Anyone that knows how to fix this. Google Chrome just shows up as one window and works fine no matter how many tabs are open.option keep window on top and maybe add option "opacity"
