Good afternoon, I'm trying to re-create all of our tech documents in sharepoint so we can centralise to office 365. I've tried many different way but I think the only way maybe a news style site, but then I have the issue of navigation so have looked into metadata navigation. But none of this seem to do something confluence makes so easy. What would you recommend? Many Thanks Mark11KViews2likes7CommentsLimiting Search Box Results to Wiki Page Library
I have created a Wiki Page Library for a knowledge base our team uses and added a search box. I would like the search box to only bring back results from the library, not the entire site, but this doesn't seem to be possible. I've looked at 'edit web part' including in the advanced section but am none the wiser.719Views0likes2CommentsHow do I create a Sharepoint glossary without using an app?
Hello everyone, Me again! I'm wondering if you can give me some advice about to create a glossary in SharePoint. The topic my SharePoint is about is quite complicated and I want an easily searchable glossary of terms. Unfortunately our IT department won't let me download the free app that I've seen suggested without applying for them to look at it, test it etc. This process is likely to take several months. Because of the length of time and with no guarantee of being able to have it at the end of it, I really need to create the glossary from scratch. Ideally I'm looking for a navigation bar with the letters of the alphabet and then being able to click on the letter to bring up all terms starting with that letter. Does anyone know a simple way of doing this? Thanks in advance as always, Amber42KViews2likes15CommentsSharepoint best practice Wiki Location and History
hello, being new to Sharepoint I am looking for advice on... 1. Where to best create a wiki: as Sharepoint pages or via the wiki app (e.g. integrated in Teams) 2. ...especially with regards to a version history for wiki content (*not* the file/document version history) as found in other wiki software? (only found this discussion which was not quite what I was looking for.) Thanks for any hints2.6KViews0likes4CommentsSearch results missing in sharepoint online of the same library
Hi there, I just review all the steps in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/troubleshoot/search/search-results-missing and my problem is not solved. When I search in Everything "CCQ" for a given Wiki Page that has "CCQ" in the Title, the search engine returns me nothing and when I search in Everything "Folha" the engine finds correctly the Wiki Page that is in the same Library that the CCQ article. So I created a custom Search at "Manage result sources", that has a query {searchTerms} Path:https://{{domain}}.sharepoint.com/sites/wiki/Paginas/* And this query return 6 results. Then when I try this other method (search all site, and remove what I didn't wonted) I get 38 results {searchTerms} Path:https://{{domain}}.sharepoint.com/sites/wiki/* -Path:https://{{domain}}.sharepoint.com/sites/wiki/PublishingImages/* -Path:https://{{domain}}.sharepoint.com/sites/wiki/SiteAssets/* -Path:https://{{domain}}.sharepoint.com/sites/wiki/Lists/* But my "Paginas" library has 56 items. How can this be? Someone knows that the devil of IT is doing and how to stop this from happening?906Views0likes0Commentsmodern wiki page, comparable features to Atlassian's Confluence
My company would like to create a modern SharePoint Online template for a wiki, hopefully with features comparable to Atlassian's Confluence. Ideally there would also be a smooth way to migrate content from Confluence. Any suggestions?2.1KViews2likes2CommentsCustom Fields not working in Site Pages Library | Modern Experience
I want to use custom columns in the Site Pages Library in order to use these as meta tag look up for building a Wiki in modern SharePoint pages through the Highlighted Contents web part. I try to do this on a SharePoint Online tenant. While I can add custom columns to the Library, I can neither enter values on these Site Pages Library custom columns nor are these columns selectable in the web part. What possible troubleshootings are there aside from rebuilding the indexes on that Site Pages library? Thanks in advanceSolved2.1KViews0likes1Comment
