Dear all, I am doing a migration of an on-premises user's profile to VHD using FRX.exe command line but constantly getting an error "Exit code 9: The system cannot write to the specified device" I checked the code explanation is "There was an error creating the VHD/X file." but nothing else is mentioned! https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/fslogix-error-codes-reference The user has administrative writes to the disk. so I am lost what is wrong in here?9.9KViews0likes7CommentsClassic WVD autoscale modification
Hi, I have a WVD classic environment and I need to implement the autoscaling feature for it. I've checked MS documentation and found the Autoscale automation which implements Automation Accounts and Logic apps to run during peak hours, check the amount of sessions and spin more VMs if necessary. Then, during off hours, it shut downs VMs to a minimum. This is good...but not what I need. I need the automation to add more VMs when needed, but also to shut down VMs when not, during a 24x7 schedule. I don't want it to shutdown VMs only outside working hours. I tried to check how to add this functionality but I can't seem to find a way of doing it and I can't find the source code that does it to modify it. Has anyone have a similar problem?1.6KViews0likes4CommentsVPN in Azure Windows Virtual Desktop two different geo environments
Dear All, I have created a lab on Azure to test WVD and have IPSEC VPN connected to my on-premises Lab as the following: on Azure There is 1- DC02 | VirtualNetwork: (VNET01) Location: (East US) 2- WVD Master VM | VirtualNetwork: (VNET01) Location: (East US) 3- FSLogix Server | VirtualNetwork: (VNET02) Location: (East US 2) Due to Azure limitation on cores and CPUs on the same site I had to create FSLogix on a different site and setup Peering between both VNETs which worked fine, however from VNET2 to my On-prem network it didn't work. I tried the gateway transit option but that didn't work either. I tried adding the subnet on my on-premises IPSEC Firewall but didn't work too. What kind of solution is possible to get both networks and get access on my On-premises network? I know I can open a case with MS to expand my usage of resources on the same site but I would like to know if connecting both VNETs to the same VPN is possible or not? Thank you4.9KViews0likes1CommentWindows Virtual Desktop - Firewall Appliance
Has anyone configured Windows virtual desktop session hosts traffic to be protected and put behind a virtual firewall appliance? By default, when deploying host pools there are no NSG configured. The step up from there is filtering the web and network traffic on these session hosts. What is the recommended and supported way to configure these and not break the Broker, load balancer and FSXLogic dependencies?3.2KViews1like4Comments
