Edge sync with Google Account
Hello! So, I've been using Chrome for like 10 years, and now I've heard about Edge from a friend, and I wanted to switch browsers. But all my passwords, bookmarks and history stuff are synced with my google account. I also have an android phone, which came with Chrome and Google apps, and I like the fact that Google from desktop brings me all the passwords and others on my phone. The question is if I can sync all Edge things in my google account, to keep them present everywhere. It is pretty hard to me to break up with all the google services, since I'm using Gmail, Google Drive, Youtube and others, and bing gives me poor searching results in romanian, comparing to google. Sorry if the whole thing sounded like an ad for google, but I'm wondering if I can sync edge with a google account. Peace!
Windows credential manager and Edge password manager
I want to suggest to sync passwords saved in Edge with Windows credential manager in order for them to be accessible to all other apps and programs in Windows and also operate as a system wide password manager. Windows credential manager stores passwords from Internet explorer and legacy Edge but not the new Edge browser, the link is broken and the two components don't talk to each other anymore. the problem at the moment is that some passwords are stored in my Edge browser password manager, some others are stored in Windows credential manager by other apps, If i want to change password of a website, I have to manually update it in both places. also the apps i use on Windows 10 only talk to Windows credential manager and they don't use Edge password manager, so this creates the need to save password in 2 places and duplicate them. Such a great secure encrypted native feature in Windows that is rarely paid attention to. this is the system-wide password manager of Windows, just like the one in Android and Mac.New Edge Canary Mobile version - Available Now - Updated Chromium version
Microsoft Edge Canary is the newest Edge app on mobile. here is the app on Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.emmx.canary The Chromium version is up to date, latest version, same as on Edge desktop. the UI has some different design elements. settings page is also different. sync is fully enabled and working. edge://settings/clearBrowsingDataOnClose This is only a demo of 5 sites, my actual list is long and it is really time consuming and hard to manually add that to each instance of Edge, one by one. please add these to the settings sync in Edge so we can get the same experience on all of our machines automatically. eventually I hope all of the settings in Edge to be synced but this is a nice security feature that needs sync to be efficient. thanks DeletedAAD Sync
It looks like AAD sync is up and running - it's working with one of my tenants. However, on a second tenant, Edge is telling me that my administration has disabled sync. This is a surprise as I'm the administrator. I can't seem to find a setting for this in AAD - is there one? Or is this just a rollout issue? Thanks!Add 1-way sync to Edge browser
Let us enable one-way sync in browser, this is specially and extremely useful when testing Canary and Dev channels, as they are rather unstable. for example, I want 2-way (regular) sync on Edge stable but 1-way sync for Edge canary (only download changes on canary and don't upload anything back to the cloud to prevent any possible sync issue or data loss).
