How often does school data sync run? Are there any criteria that need to be fulfilled? I have seen SDS get data, do a run... but not a full run it seems since all teams are not updating. On the evening i see teams being updated instead when a second run have gone by. So it seems each run does not do the same thing? Can i force run the SDS if we have sent in much new data and i want to see the teams update fast?1.4KViews0likes1CommentSchool Data Sync - how to use Powerplattform together with SDS data that is imported?
How can i access the data that SDS is using from the powerplattform. If we import students, parents, schools, groups and classes etc. How can we fetch the imported data and the results of SDS work? I would really like to find a good option to access this data. This would open up so many possibilities to use the powerplattform and create tool based on the correct data imported via SDS.650Views0likes0CommentsSchoolmaster Magister connector to School Data Sync
Hello, I am writing this just to inform you that I have written a Magister connector script that is called TeamSync. This provides for a connection between the Dutch Magister leerlingenadministratiesysteem (school Information system) developed by Schoolmaster, and School Data Sync, in order to synchronize teacher and student members to the classroom Teams. This script is published under GNU General Public License v3 in https://github.com/sikkepitje/TeamSync . It generates CSV files in SDS format V1. Thank you 🙂891Views0likes0CommentsHiddenGroupMembershipEnabled - SDS setting?
I have a customer who syncs groups to 365 via a CSV import to SDS. Student groups have the HiddenGroupMembershipEnabled attribute set as true. I'm aware that this attribute cannot be edited and to disable this feature, the group would need to be re-created. Is anyone aware of any setting or configuration in SDS that is automatically setting this attribute on student groups? If there is such a setting, can this be changed? Many thanks for your help. I've successfully connected SIS to SDS to Azure, and made sure that the "Middle Name" box is checked in SDS and available in the SIS. But when I sync, the middle name doesn't seem to go anywhere. I don't even see a field in Azure for Middle Name. Then I have successfully connected Azure to Moodle and it is creating new users in Moodle based on my Azure accounts, but in the field mapping area, there are a bunch of fields listed for Azure/AD that I can't find in Azure at all. I'm desperately trying to get more than First/Last/Email in all of my systems, but I can't seem to do it!1.3KViews0likes0CommentsURGENT!! Need help with SDS automation.
Hello, I am really struggling with using SDS Manually as it keeps messing up. Currently, I have setup a profile to create new users and assign them Office 365 A1 Faculty or Student licenses. However, every time I add new users, all the existing group members gets reset and I have to manually add them again. This is really troublesome since I am no longer able to use Microsoft Teams app to take classes online since no-one is in the group that I intended them to be in. It's really bringing down the quality of education my students get. Can someone please assist me with this. It's urgent. I have tried calling Microsoft Support and it has been more than 3 days with no response from SDS team. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!1.4KViews0likes2CommentsRestricting Groups that are shared with apps
Hi, I am authorizing some app providers to access my school data via SDS. But I do not need to share all my groups with them, I only want to share the groups that are required to use the particular app. How is it possible for me to perform this kind of limitation when I am sharing my section/group data with app partners. Can I have some steps to follow to perform this? Thanks J.1.2KViews0likes3CommentsAnnouncing School Data Sync General Availability!
