Data Slicers not working properly with Excel 2016
Dear Community I have created a Dashboard with Excel 365 (V 16.0.11601) using data from an SQL Server, via Power Query and Pivots / Charts. The Pivots and Charts are linked with data slicers in order to filter data. The idea is, that the user does not need to connect to the SQL Server but uses directly the data from Power Pivot. With my Excel versions the slicers work as expected. Customers which are using Office 2016 Professional Plus (V 16.0.4738) complained, that the slicers and pivot-filters do not work. We were able to reproduce the issue with Excel 2016: If we click on a slicer element or select a filter-value in a pivot-table, excel is shortly "calculating" but then the filter / slicer gets reset and the data is not filtered or refreshed. No error is shown. Anyone has an idea, what's the reason of this behaviour?
can you add a Macro Button based on Slicers?
I have a document with 4 connected slicers. Basically a road/process map on what text to log in salesforce. I want to assign a macro where someone can click a "button" and text will populate in a cell - based on what someone has chosen in the four slicers. Is this possible? As an alternative, I added a 5th slicer with the actual text I want to populate, but I can't copy and paste the text out of the slicer. Is this also possible? I am trying to make it easy for my team to log the same text in salesforce. Any advice? Thanks!Slicer for Dates
Hi, I had a slicer that used a date column from a table that previously worked fine giving the options in the date column; Jan 2017 Feb 2017 ... Sept 2018 I've just moved PCs at work to one that has a slightly more up to date version of Excel and now the Slicer groups into Months; Jan Feb Mar .... And doesn't separate by year, so now all when I select a month it selects the data for that month from both 2017 and 2018. Can someone tell me why this has changed and if I can change it back?
