How to Remove Skype for Business
Skype for Business currently installs as a packaged product with Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps. The installation does not install Teams as a part of the Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps. Additionally, Skype for Business has its own installation which is separate from Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps installation. Windows OS: 11 Pro w/ Windows updates. Issues: Users are unable to remove Skype for Business from their desktop by clicking “Uninstall” located on the Windows Start menu. Teams upgrade requires Skype for Business settings to be set manually via the Teams Admin Center. Using the PowerShell command: uninstall-package 'Microsoft Skype for Business MUI (English) 2016' to remove Skype for Business requires NuGet to be manually installed prior to performing a removal task or does not remove the application at all. The odd thing about this is that the system recognizes that a 2016 edition of Skype for Business exists. Note: Microsoft Word reads with the following version number: Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2508 Build 16.0.19127.20082) 64-bit Granting and then revoking API permissions via Entra Admin center does not separate Skype for Business from the Microsoft 365 Business Professional installation. Uninstalling Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps only removes the Skype for Business app temporarily until reinstallation occurs.skype phone number transfer to teams
Hi Microsoft community. I hope you will be able to help me with this question. In company I work for, we have a skype number set up. We use this skype number for our customer service. Now, since skype is about to reach EOL, and we would like to have better control over this account we want to transfer this number to Teams. This number ,account was created years ago and it was requested as a new number. Therefore, the provider for this number is SKYPE/MICROSOFT. I have read bunch of articles and tutorials on how to port a number to teams, however this (wheatear done by automated wizard in office of send manually to PSTN service desk) requires a lot of information that I don't have. I have credentials to this skype account, phone number that is associated with it, but I can not figure out how to transfer it to teams. Can you please advise ? It really sucks that MS Skype is about to reach EOL and there is no clear information about how to transfer from number from skype to teams. Community Skype for Business Adoption
Skype phone numbers we are using for US, AU are not working at all, we need help please
We have already paid for yearly renting of the Skype phone numbers we are using for US, AU and these are not working because are not getting redirected after the right settings in place, also the voicemails are not working at all, no settings working at all and after paying there is no one to talk to and report the issue, no email of support, no department of support to send ticket, no phone number, absolutely nothing to provide you support as client for something that you paid and is not working!!! I have tried to adjust the settings based on the forms from the Skype app for windows also from the Skype app for web and I tried both the redirect also the voicemail and none of them working to be setup. So disappointed and we already paid for 1 year in advance for both of them. We need help!

Good day, I have just finished setting up our Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub500. Creating the room and users account as per MS instructions is all done and Teams Room is logged in. I can start a new meeting and project but no meetings are showing up. At the top it says "Cannot Fetch Calendar". What are we doing wrong? Thanks.
Screensharing mit Ventura 13.2.1 und Skype for Business 16.29.95 doesn´t work
Hello I am not able to share my screen via Skype with Ventura and the latest Skype 16.29.95. Or rather to see it when another participant in the conversation shares his screen. The behavior is identical in both situations. It works for about 10 seconds then just aborts. After that the screen sharing is no longer visible. However, the Skype connection still exists. I can still talk to the other person and the camera video image is still transmitted normally. Only the sharing of the screen does not work anymore. It can not be activated in this call. Only when you re-establish the connection, you can try the timing again. However, it disconnects again after about 10 seconds. I have reinstalled Skype several times in the meantime. Dear Sir/Madam, I have a Poly Voyager 4220 Series and it's always stuck on mute whenever I muted it. The problem is, once muted, I couldn't unmute it anymore. The workaround is, I had to choose a different device, unmute, then choose Poly BT600 so I can speak again. But I don't have this problem with Microsoft Teams. I used to have another headset Poly blackwire 3220 series, that works just fine. I can mute/unmute as I wish. Best regards, Calvin
