Skype for Business compatibility with regular Skype
Greetings. We're new to Skype for Business having switched to Office 365 midway through 2017. Clients and vendors that used to be able to reach me via Skype are having difficulty connecting with us now that we run Skype for Business. Files do not transfer during IM sessions, and conference calls involving more than one person (where I am the only Skype for Business user) fail to connect regardless of who initiates the call. All Microsoft seems to say is that the two programs aren't very compatible, but this is a big impediment if we cannot communicate well with clients/vendors. Does anyone have insight into this? We run Windows 10 on our laptops and the 32bit version of Skype for Business. Thanks! Greg
Teams Room "Cannot Fetch Calendar"
Good day, I have just finished setting up our Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub500. Creating the room and users account as per MS instructions is all done and Teams Room is logged in. I can start a new meeting and project but no meetings are showing up. At the top it says "Cannot Fetch Calendar". What are we doing wrong? I see multiple instances of chats with the same contact. This is really cluttering up my Skype for Business app window in both my mobile iOS and my desktop app. Example: Chat session with Joe at 10:00 for 10 minutes Chat session with Joe again at 14:00 for 15 minutes Now I see two separate chat streams with the same contact. Why isn't this singular? If I have a chat session with Joe and i do not actively remove/delete that chat session, shouldn't it just continue the next time one of us write? Is this by design? Do I need to adjust something in Skype for Business Admin on 365? I am using latest builds . iOS Version 6.11.1.310 and Mac OSX 16.2.156 Please help, this is sure to cause complaints amongst staff and I expect will introduce user acceptance numbers to drop. Skype for Business OS 10.10 Yosemite
Seems the skype for business mac client is only compatible with 10.11, and up.. My company is on 10.10, and not sure if it's worth upgrading everyone to 10.11 just to be able to run this app. So to confirm there will be no compatibility with OS X Yosemite, correct?
No Sound Associated with Video Files in Skype Business
I am trying to share a video file with clients and our test within the department has found that while you can share videos, nobody can hear the audio associated with the videos. I have tried putting the files into PP, and then compressing the files, and also this option: Turn hardware acceleration on. To do this in PowerPoint, go to File > Options > Advanced, and then under Display, make sure the Disable hardware graphics acceleration checkbox is clear. I have tried sharing the Window, the Desktop, and just the file. Nothing has worked. Here is the message I get:Introducing the Office 365 Productivity Library
