Shared mailbox
19 Topics- Viewing older emails in a shared mailboxI have a friend who is a member of a shared mailbox. The shared mailbox shows up in her Outlook but only displays emails going back 12 months. I had checked the settings of her own account and it was set to 12 months so I moved the slider to All, closed and re-opened Outlook but saw no sync activity. I waited a day but still no additional emails showed up even though there are emails going back a few years as proven by accessing it online. BTW she is running Office version 1912 Build 12325.20344. I decided to try adding the shared mailbox to her Outlook as a second account and was surprised to see it succeed although I didn't think you could add a shared mailbox that way. I moved the slider for the account from 12 months to All and close/re-opened Outlook. Now older email started syncing into it. So why won't email older than 12 months sync in when the mailbox is in Outlook without adding it as an account? Jonathan180KViews0likes4Comments
- Auditing an O365 shared mailboxI have turned on auditing on an Office 365 shared mailbox, but when I do a search at the audit logs I get zero results. I've expanded from the standard auditing and added the parameters "harddelete, softdelete, movetodeleteditems", etc. I put those parameters under all 3 catagories: auditadmin, auditdelegate, and auditowner. We had someone say an email disappeared again today, but I get no results when I searched the logs. I even verified that auditing was turned on by doing a 'get-mailbox' which shows it on. Anything I am doing wrong?58KViews0likes11Comments

Or did I something wrong? I need to read and send through the second domain.895Views0likes0Comments
- change Undeliverable email messages auto replyHello. I have a shared mailbox who only the member of the mailbox can email to. If you are not a member and email to the mailbox you get an auto reply. This auto reply are a bit aggressive and tells the user that she/he are not allowed to email that mailbox. I would simply want to change part of that message to be a little more friendly but cant find where i can do so 🙂 BR Emil8.3KViews0likes4Comments

- How can I disable calendar reminders for invitations by shared mailboxesHi! We use a shared mailbox for a calendar for events. Events are projects that are lead by several project managers. Some of them want to invite themselves to the events so they also see it in their own calendar. This automatically creates a reminder for that event in the personal calendar of the user. Even though if the have all auto reminders set to none. Is there any way to disable this?1.3KViews1like0Comments
- Shared Mailbox using IMAP stopped workingI have been accessing my Office 365 Shared Mailboxes on my iPhone using IMAP until recently. These are the settings I had Email Address: sharedmailbox@domain.com Incoming Mail Server Host Name: outlook.office365.com User Name: myemail@domain.com/sharedmailbox Password: password for myemail@domain.com Outgoing Mail Server Host Name: smtp.office365.com User Name: myemail@domain.com Password: password for myemail@domain.com I have verified exchange settings and IMAP is enabled on shared mailbox and user mailbox. iPhone keeps prompting me for password. I deleted the account and went to re-add using the same settings but I keep getting invalid password. I can log into the Outlook web browser just fine and access my shared mailboxes from there. Any helps to correct this would be great, I really love being able to access those boxes from one mail client, namely my iPhone mail app.14KViews0likes2Comments
- Audit log search no longer works for shared mailboxesIt was working find then stopped last month some time - now gives no results. After backwards and forwards with support see the response we received from them below. "As earlier advised the changes are made recently by the programming team after which non license mailbox user will be able to see O365 Admin logs from power shell and EAC and will not be able to see Unified audit logs from SCC and power shell." This does not seem plausible to me but I would like to get some feedback from the rest of you.7.5KViews0likes10Comments
