Hi all, I have a Microsoft 365 with share point question. O 365 Users have the share point administrator role, they can create their web sites. There is a need for some of the users to develop their own web parts and use them into their websites. They have the following roles applied to their users - SharePoint Administrator, Application Developer, they are site administrators. Currently those roles do not allow them to upload apps to their website. They can request new apps from the store, someone else have to approve them. My questions is what permissions, roles i need to assign to the users for them to be able to upload and install apps (web parts) on their behalf. Thank you for your time.842Views0likes1CommentWeb Part Error: Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this reso
We have a web page for external users. The page has one web part, whose target audience has been setup for allow only users in the designated SharePoint groups to have access. Also additional security is the user can see only those items they have been granted permission. Target Audience is web part is: admin group and group 1. The issue is when there is no items granted permission to the login user (in group 1), the user will see an error: Web Part Error: Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource. As soon as an item is granted permission to the user, then this error goes away. The error confuses the external users, causing a lot of calls. Is there a way to dismiss this error message and show a web part with no items?5.6KViews0likes0CommentsEDIT User Permission is greyed Out sharepoint Online
I was trying to edit user permission for a GRP, found that its greyed out, and doesn't allow to make any changes. is it because it's a office365 GRPS, and that's how it is setup by design when site was initally setup ? what about if i don't want those GROUPS (O365 GRPS) any more, is there a way to get rid of it?3.4KViews0likes2CommentsChange Column reference to view data
I am new in Sharepoint o365 and have small question. There is task that I want to create a list in Sharepoint and users can view only there data. In list, we will update the data of 10 employee. I can't use the filter option as user can change it easily. Also, I can't use "Advance setting" option as I am updating data, so, in "Created By" column, my ID will save. Please suggest, if we have any option. Kind Regards Ashwani918Views0likes2Comments
