Tilde not working to replace asterisk?
I'm not sure if using the tilde followed by the asterisk no longer works to find and replace the asterisk, or if I have something set weird. I am pretty sure I've always used ~* when wanting to find and replace an * but now Excel gives the error that "There's a problem with this formula". Is there another easy way to do it? Thanks!
Using Replace to remove unspecified amount of letters
I am a teacher. I have an excel file of all students written as Lastname, Firstname for example Smith, John or Walker, Martin. How can I use the replace command to change each cell so that it only contains the last name, the comma, and ONLY THE FIRST LETTER of the first name i.e. Smith, J Walker, M Thank you
