Picture Library
5 TopicsRatings in thumbnail view of picture library
In sharepoint online, I created a picture library and enabled star rating. When the library is in Thumbnail view, the star ratings are not visible, even if i select the item and click the "i" icon to bring up the properties/info panel. If i switch to list view, the star ratings are visible. I checked the view settings and the ratings 0-5 column is checked. Is there no way to display star ratings on thumbnail view?4.4KViews5likes6CommentsDescription and Keywords in Picture library not indexed? No search results
I have a picture library with images that have Description and Keywords (default columns) but when I search for any of those words I get no results. I do get results when searching for the file name. I have also tried changing the Advances settings and reindex the library but no luck EDIT: I have just noticed that the Description and Keywords Managed Properties in the Search schema are not set to "Searchable" and the option is greyed out I do not want to use https://sharepointmaven.com/sharepoint-enterprise-keywords/ as that will create thousands of terms in the Term StoreSolved5.5KViews0likes5CommentsSP2016: How can I add a Picture Library app to MySites by default?
People have been creating their MySite in SP2016. Several people want to upload photos to their MySite. When they go to add an app, they can only select Document Library, Access App, or Import Spreadsheet. I would like to give them the ability to add a Picture Library as well. (We do not have an app store.) Currently, I have to go into each individuals MySite as an administrator and activate the Team Collaboration Lists feature. Of course this adds more than just a Picture Library. I tried creating a new site collection template based on My Sites Host, but any time I try to activate the features it goes to my personal site. Any suggestions?1.4KViews0likes3CommentsView Multiple Document Libraries together
I have a large repository of media files on O365 Sharepoint Online (about 30, 000 pictures), they were separated by year to be in separate Picture Library's by year so we would not have to deal with the 5000 item view threshold. We should be able to to merge viewing the libraries using a "Data View Web Part" using Sharepoint designer so we can view and search the files "as one". When I try to create the linked data source I get "data source file cannot be saved". Any idea what the issue could be? In the end I just want my Marketing team to be able to view and search through all the pictures easily.13KViews0likes6Comments
