Office 2019
3 TopicsMicrosoft Office 2019 and 2016 for mac not signing in
hi all I am experiencing a weird issue. we are trying to register an office for mac 2019, we insert the key into setup.office.com, download the installer and install it, and when opening word or any app for the first time, we are presented with a sign in window for activation. the user then enters their respective email address which they used when they created their office.com profile and hit next to be taken to the password page and the loading screen appears and hangs there just spinning indefinitely. I have completely removed all office apps, multiple times, even manually and using Macmaster, searched and removed cached credentials from keychain, even created a new profile and tried, the problem still persists, on at least 3 macs that we are aware of. However, if I try logging in with one of our own office 365 accounts, it works immediately. what is going on?40KViews1like15CommentsFormatting issues in Word
Hi all, Since the last couple of updates, I have had formatting issues that are extremely disruptive and frustrating. For the past year or so I've been working around them, hoping a solution would become apparent, but it's now at a point where I really want to try to see if there is a fix. I am on Windows 11/Office 2019 and it should be the latest update. One issue is whenever I try to write a heading (using Center + Bold + Italics), the new paragraph beneath the heading is automatically centered, even after I turn off centering. A possibly related issue is that if I make a block quote it also throws the formatting off, to the point that when I write a following paragraph I cannot even manually make a paragraph indent (meaning the Tab button just does nothing). To fix it, I have to copy and paste a previous paragraph into the space following the block quote, which is the only way I could find to restore the formatting. I have not, to my knowledge, adjusted any auto-correct or template options that could be causing the issue. Formatting only became a problem for me following a relatively recent update. Thank you in advance, Chad8.6KViews0likes1CommentUpgraded to Office 2019 on my MAC (latest=10.15.1) - now word cannot open old word docs, or save new
Hi, When upgrading my mac to latest OS (10.15.x), my old Office stopped working. Newest version needed. I went on a procured Office 2019 for Mac. Installed it. Not a problem. Starting excel, powerpoint or work not an issue. 1. In word - i cannot open old word doc's. I get error: "The document “SPITSBERGEN EXPEDITIE 2019.docx” could not be opened. " It does not matter which document i try to open. Neither where the docs are located. --> bonus info: I can open the docs with LibraOffice and with OpenOffice 2.. When i make a new document, everything works. But when trying to save i get doc i get: "The file “Desktop” couldn’t be opened." Desktop is the location i try to save to. It does not matter where on my mac i try to save the document - it does not work. --> bonus info. I can save new docs with LibraOffice and with OpenOffice Why don't this work out of the box with Office 2019. All previous upgrades of MS Office have given no problems. What do i have to do to get access to my existing office documents? What do i have to do to save new docs made in Word 2019? I know i can edit and update all documents via LibraOffice and OpenOffice - on my Mac. Why not with MS Office 2019? Regards Per1.2KViews0likes1Comment
