75 TopicsThread navigation needs work
In the old format, which wasn't broken but apparently needed to be fixed, expanding a thread was a one click operation on the subject heading. Now I have to click several "show more" links to fully expand some lengthy threads. For example, here is one such thread: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions/project/ms365-project-drawings/4336180 Although most threads are short and only one or two levels, some questions/issues end up taking considerable back and forth to understand and resolve (or attempt to resolve). It would be nice to have an option either at thread level or a general option to set full expansion of threads. If such an option already exists, great, but please enlighten me how to turn it on. Propose system is changed to include new functions that operate within each Idea post: - mark as answer - like - sort by likes This would : - allow user to more easily drill down to the answer / most popular responses - allow user to browse similar ranked responses within an idea - complement the existing Sort, Idea Status and Label functions that already exist across ALL ideas921Views4likes4CommentsMega Menu dropdowns disappear too quickly
The hub site Mega Menu in sharepoint online has become all but unusable for us. Mechanisms for triggering the drop-down menus are inconsistent: sometimes you need to click it, sometimes just hover. On occasions where you're lucky enough to get the dropdown to appear, a simple mouse movement will often make the submenu collapse again. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's a problem we've had for a couple years, but it just recently got so bad that we're now having to explore alternatives.2.9KViews2likes6CommentsHub Site Navigation Address Field Behaviour Multilingual
We have a SharePoint hub site which requires translation of its navigation links display names and address fields - default is English and users with Spanish language settings should see Spanish navigation titles and address field links. I followed the instructions from here -https://support.office.com/en-us/article/create-multilingual-communication-sites-pages-and-news-2bb7d610-5453-41c6-a0e8-6f40b3ed750c- specifically: "After the site is set up inEnglish,a user with Spanish as their preferred personal language manually edits and translates the title, description, navigation and footer contentinto Spanish". This has worked correctly for the navigation link and label display name fields. A user with Spanish language settings see's the Spanish display name and non-Spanish users see the Default (English). I have found that this does not work the same if the Address field for a link is changed. For example, we have Spanish versions of pages we would like the navigation to link to for Spanish users. I find when I amend the Address field with Spanish language settings, it also changes the Address field URL for the Default language navigation. Is this expected behaviour? I cannot see anything regarding this either way in the documentation linked above.Solved7.2KViews0likes12CommentsCan't add Heading (without link) to left Nav in modern Team site anymore?
I am no longer able to select whether I want to add a header or a hyper link to my left navigation in a modern team site? I can only add hyperlinks. Has this changed, or do I need to make an adjustment in site settings?2.6KViews0likes7CommentsWindows 10 Optimization
We need the last update, to be better optimized, because 22H2 runs horribly, especially on HDDs. Opening the Start menu takes 3 seconds, and clicking something in Settings takes 15 seconds (on NEW hardware, tested on Windows 8.1 to run great, using an HDD). Like I tested boot times, in speed, 8.1 was the first (49 seconds), Windows 7 was 2nd (1:17), and Windows 10... 2 minutes and 21 seconds. Even Windows 11 booted a little faster (1:54). You just make kind of a checkbox in the Windows Update tab, "Make Windows faster", that receives the 8.1 boot times and performance. Windows 8.1 uses ~600 MB of RAM, Windows 7 is around 900, but Windows 10 is freaking 2.4 GB of wholesome RAM out there. This horrible experience needs to be fixed.768Views0likes2CommentsLink from Outlook task/appointment to the D365 entity that created it
When we create a task/appointment from D365 and it is synchronized with Outlook, only the title and description are copied in Outlook. That entity in D365 could have more data such as the account, contact, etc. When Outlook notifies us the expiration of these activities, we haven't this information and need to search it in D365 manually. It would be nice to have access from the Outlook task/appointment to the D365 that originated it. The most basic would be to add it link to the first line of the description or to the beginning/end of the title. Another possibility would be a specific field. Thank you.577Views0likes3Comments
