The original thread from shilocase has been locked (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/teams-is-killing-my-mac-every-day/m-p/2790094) so I'm forced to start a new one. I have the same issue like many others, it has been described over and over again. I'll repost the solution here , kudos go to https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/profile/3c53a3ef-4f6e-46c9-afeb-517cf6ed488c I'm sitting on a Intel Mac. The solution that helped me is described on page 21 here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/ms-teams-helper-using-up-100-of-cpu-macbook/9305b96e-5381-43cf-88c4-d3ba39b37a58?page=21 I deleted the this file: /Applications/Microsoft Teams.app/Contents/Resources/app.asar.unpacked/node_modules/media-hid/build/Release/media-hid.node and now teams is working like a charm. Even my fan is gone and I enjoy the silence. No side effects This needs to be done after each update again it seems. This might even be some hint for the developers that trying to figure out the issue over the last months (years?). So if anyone at Microsoft is listening please be so kind and forward this. Regards and hope it helps you too.2.6KViews3likes4CommentsMicrosoft Teams public preview adds over 800 emojis and new in-meeting sharing experience
Microsoft has announced a big update coming to its Teams collaboration platform, including an expanded emoji picker, a new in-meeting sharing experience, and AI-based noise suppression for Mac. These features are currently available in the public preview version of Teams and could roll out to people in the coming months. We use Teams for breakout rooms. In the interim while we wait for your release of Breakout built-in functionality what we do is copy/paste in the chat of the main meeting, the links to the breakout. Today in 3 of our groups although everyone clicked on the same link, some users ended up in their own meeting with no other attendees? Was there some type of service disruption as I am at a loss to try and explain to our leadership team who were impacted.1KViews0likes1CommentTeams Meetings and Using a Distribution List
In April 2020 I created a Teams Meeting using a distribution list. In the Meetings Option, I selected an invitee from the distribution list to be the Presenter. In May I created another Teams Meeting using the same distribution list, however, when I went to select the Presenter from the list, their name did not appear but the name was showing as an invitee. I deleted the meeting and restarted Outlook and sent out the invite again and attempted to select the Presenter and no names appeared. My employer's IT Dept. is working with someone from Microsoft on this issue and the resolve is that by design, you cannot select a Presenter from the DList. They can't explain to me why I was able to do so in April nor can they explain why those invited using a DList are not populating in the Meeting Options page to select as a Presenter. Would greatly appreciate gui4.8KViews0likes0Comments
