Hi, I would like to kindly ask you for help. Currently I have studied Microsoft search and options how to improve it. I have found these search components on this official video (https://youtu.be/jKpIDBalLW0?si=M_qVbY4KWOrZEVy7&t=2103). Unfortunately I have not found any further information where to find those components to use it. Does anyone have an experience with that? It will be really useful and I really appreciate it. I have tried to send an email to mentioned address but unfortunately it does not exist anymore. Thank you for your response. Best regards and have a nice day Mirek 🙂99Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Graph API for search suggestion
Is there any API to get search suggestion for Microsoft search? I see an API call to https://substrate.office.com/search/api/v1/suggestions?query=contos through default Microsoft Search box which returns suggested Files, Sites, People etc. What is equivalent MS search graph API call to get this suggestion ? I need to build custom search box with query suggestion like one below. I checked PnP modern search box webpart configured with Microsoft Search but it not returning any suggestion, any help there?275Views0likes2CommentsCan User search query data be retrieved from Search Insights API?

Is this currently possible or a planned future feature ? I can manually download the data into excel but would like to access the API for Power BI data refreshes.627Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Search - does not respect hidden user accounts!
Hi Everyone, We have hybrid onprem and M365 environment. To hide user accounts e.g. service accounts from SharePoint online intranet search we use Tania Menice method of setting the Exchange property msExchHideFromAddressLists = true https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sharepoint-support-blog/exclude-users-from-delve-and-sharepoint-online-people-search/ba-p/170731 To illustrate the issue lets assume: - In active directory on premise and azure a user exists Careers@mycompany.co.nz - This user has msExchHideFromAddressLists = true, so searching for Careers in Outlook shows no suggested email address If we were using Classic SharePoint Online search this is fine e.g. /search/Pages/peopleresults.aspx#k=careers will not return our test user BUT We are using the Microsoft Search , organisation wide within our SharePoint online environment. Searching for careers /_layouts/15/search.aspx?q=careers shows our test user despite msExchHideFromAddressLists = true If we search for careers again and add the -"SPS-HideFromAddressLists":1 term to our search we get /_layouts/15/search.aspx?q=careers%20%20-"SPS-HideFromAddressLists"%3A1 and our test user is not shown. My question to you dear reader: Is there somewhere I can set Microsoft Search so that it respects msExchHideFromAddressLists not just in the People vertical but in the ALL vertical ? NOTE I also tested BING logged in as my work account, exactly the same behaviour even down to understanding the -"SPS-HideFromAddressLists":1 term.4.8KViews0likes5CommentsDistribution Group members found in Search.
We're in hybrid. in the SP search Query tool you can see search also perform on the memberships. these are the memberships of the distribution lists (which are still used) if i remove Quicklinks out of the crawled properties as it's connected with the membership managed properties i am still finding these users. What should i remove for the distribution groups to be visible via the outlook app member off, but for these results not to display these persons in MyPeople459Views0likes0CommentsThe new Microsoft Search Work Vertical
