5 TopicsSharePoint Search Including Path as Metadata
Our files in SharePoint are organised in a very structured manner, for example: \{Client Name}\Legal\Contract.docx \{Client Name}\Proposals\20230914-RFP-{Project Name}.docx If I search for "Client Name Contract" I would like the first document to return. But instead it picks some seemingly random PowerPoint presentation that must mention the terms. At worst I would like to be able to search for "Client Name Legal" and get the folder. I can search "Legal" but I get every client variation. Is there anyway to include the file path as metadata that is searchable? In our case all clients are in a single Document library, we have debated splitting them into Client Sites. But on the face of it our problems will be worse. At least today we can navigate a simple folder structure. Thanks673Views1like1CommentConfiguring Graph agent for file share
Hi There I am configuring the Microsoft search for a file share datasource. My on-prem agent comes up in the configuration wizard, however my on-prem file share is not being recognised. It is saying that Root Folder is not reachable. I am also escaping the slashes so for \\lab\fileshare becomes \\\\lab\\fileshare as described in the documentation. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.1.2KViews1like1CommentSearch & intelligence locations
Hi All, I've started adding locations to our Search & intelligence, we have some sites that are on corners, the pin however is on the opposite corner to our building. Is it possible to set the actual lat/long, or should i try to work out the buildings street number instead. Cheers Rob898Views1like0Comments
