Microsoft Bookings Question
20 TopicsNetwork problem with personal bookings
Since a few weeks Microsoft Bookings very often shows me a specific notfication: "Temporary problem in personal bookings -Unfortunately, there seems to be a temporary network problem with personal bookings. Please refresh or try again later." My personal booking page then disappears (although I don't even use it, there is nothing set up in there) and I only see the shared bookings pages, which are relevant to me. However, if I want to access them, nothing really works: I can't make any changes, I can't set up a new service, I don't see the employees I added etc. The only thing that works is the booking page itself, so people can make bookings. Only the administration part doesn't function. This happens very often, in the App as well as in the Browser. Even for other colleagues of mine, this happens. I have found out though, that usually it works before 9 am and after 5pm (which are our companys office hours). And it occured as soon as more and more services were added to the page ( I am only talking about 10 services or so, and two shared booking pages.) Our internal tech service couldn't find a problem with my computer or so. Does anyone know, what might be the reason for this? Is there some setting maybe in bookings, that I need to change? I would be very greatful for some tips!235Views1like2CommentsCustom fields using an external source of data
Hi We have a scenario whereby an admin team for musical instruments wants to offer different public facing appointments types to requesters. Some of these appointment types would ask the requester which instrument and subsequently the sub type of that instrument that they need for the appointment during the booking process. This list of instruments and sub types can change quite often due to the availability of them so the admin team need to have the ability to show and hide different instruments on an ad-hoc basis (For example by setting the status of each instrument to either “inactive or active” and a list being constructed which only shows instruments which have a status of “active” that is then displayed to the requester). As its an appointment system they want, using MS Bookings makes sense due to all of the out of the box functionality it offers. Plus with the new Power Automate triggers I can push data into a dataverse table to create a model driven app for the Admin staff to use to administer the appointments that come in etc. However the main sticking point I have is with the ability to keep the instruments and sub types up to date whilst using MS Bookings. Custom fields seem to be the way to go about it as depending on the service I can ask which instrument the request is linked to but unfortunately custom fields seem to be too static and simple (in that I can’t point a custom field's dropdown list’s datasource to a dataverse table or anything else apart from a set list of values when you first create the custom field) Would anyone be able to give me any ideas of how to get around this problem? I’m not sure whether there is a solution that involves other parts of the Microsoft environment, for example inside of the Power Platform environment, MS Forms etc that would either integrate or replace the use of MS Bookings? Thanks Phil.641Views0likes2CommentsMissing Asterisk in Microsoft Bookings
Hello Community Champs, Hope all is well. I have created a bookings page and added a custom question and marked it as it required and saved. However, when testing the booking link I do not see my question marked as required (Asterisk). Please someone advise. Thank you, Mahee220Views0likes0Commentshow to remove shared bookings pages?
With the use of shared bookings pages it generates an unwanted mailbox, it populates entries in the global address list, and created an unwanted external user. I want to disable people in my organisation from using the shared bookings page option in Microsoft Bookings. How can I achieve this? Or does someone have a better work around?681Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Bookings is auto-cancelling calendar appointments
I created a booking system for our organization using Microsoft Bookings and we've encountered a big problem. The system is - seemingly randomly - sending calendar cancellations to people who have booked sessions. This is causing huge confusion and makes the whole system unusable for us. It sometimes happens when a new person, eg Person B, signs up for a session. Person A, who had already signed up, gets a calendar cancellation. These sessions are designed for multiple participants. Please help. We'll have to ditch the whole system if we can't resolve this. It's very frustrating. Thanks!2.7KViews1like6CommentsCustomer History on Customer Tab?
Customer tab only seems to have contact info, is there anyway to get to the customers booking history also? We have repeat customers, so being able to se their previous scheduled bookings and what they have scheduled would be very helpful. I just cannot find that information anywhere without scrolling through the calendar.1.1KViews0likes2CommentsCan I "undelete" a deleted Bookings Services with Booked Customers? HELP
Hi Booking Gurus - I accidentally deleted multiple Bookings Service Trainings with at least 40 Customers scheduled for the Trainings. Four different sessions over 2 days with 1 morning training and 1 afternoon training. Questions #1: Although I can still see them as (deleted service) and was wondering can I "undelete" them? If so, how please? Just in case, I recreated the services and was going to add the Customers to these recreated Trainings but the Training Services are not showing up on the Bookings Calendar. Questions #2:Why is that when they are new services? Or where are they? These trainings are for next week and the reminders go out on Monday. Hi, I'm trying to understand Bookings more instead of using something as an existing template. I have one booking , but I'm seeing two different things in regard to the phone number for two different services. I noticed that when booking a service (figure 1a), it does not ask for a country code. When setting this service up, the phone number is mandatory (figure 1b). In another service, there is a drop down for the Country Code (figure 2) and the phone number is mandatory (figure 2b). How can I turn on/off the "Select Country Code" drop down? Figure 1a Figure 1b Figure 2a Figure 2b Thanks!621Views0likes0CommentsCustomizing social media sharing meta properties
Hello, When sharing MS Booking URLs on social media, no social media sharing image gets pulled in. In the Bookings page code, there are meta properties for social sharing including "Og:title" and "OG:description", but none for "OG:image". <meta property="og:type" content="website" /> <meta property="og:title" content="xxx - You can book online!" /> <meta property="og:description" content="You can now book and manage appointments using our booking page." /> I am thus wondering if there is any way to set an "OG:image" for a bookings page, and/or to change the "OG:title" and "OG:description" properties?
