Hi, We are a small organization of about 200 employees, and we have following requirements. DLP policies configuration at Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint BYOD security Users should not be able to send files outside the org And so on as we evaluate We already have M365 Business Premium. However, after researching we figured out that M365 Business premium will alone not solve our requirements. May be compliance license will. We want to apply security policies at tenant level in our organization but definitely do not want every user to get licenses as this will be expensive for us and there is no requirement at all for our users. The question is, Is there a way to solve the above scenario?308Views1like3CommentsMath Assistant in OneNote M365 no longer calculates results
I’m a mathematics professor in higher education, and I’ve relied heavily on OneNote for Windows 10 — especially its Math Assistant feature — to support my teaching. While we teach at the university level, the mathematics involved is foundational: from basic first-degree equations to partial derivatives of multivariable functions, limits, definite and indefinite integrals, 2D graphing, and inequality plots. This isn’t advanced research mathematics — it’s core material for management and accounting students. In the previous version of OneNote, I could write an equation, click “Math,” and immediately get the final result. That was extremely helpful for classroom demonstrations and student self-checking. In the current version (OneNote M365), the “Math” button still appears, and it does solve simple equations — but it fails to graph more complex functions and is significantly slower than the previous version. Is Microsoft working to restore the ability to calculate final results and draw 2D graphs reliably, as the previous version did? This feature is essential for teaching and productivity. I appreciate any clarification. Best regards, José Maria E. G. Salazar Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração de Lisboa (ISCAL)Office 365 Problems
Hello everyone, I have been experiencing the following problem since today: As soon as I try to open Excel, Word, Outlook, etc., they close again immediately. Online repair and reinstallation did not improve the situation. Some of my colleagues are experiencing the same problem. Background: We roll out updates at intervals. The users who were in the first interval are experiencing these problems. The update interval has been stopped, but unfortunately I can no longer undo the update. The following version is displayed: Version 2509 Build 16.0.19231.20138. The computers are running Windows 11 with the 24H2 update. Does anyone have the same problem or know a solution? Thanks in advance.62Views0likes1CommentHas Your Organization Set Up a Viva Engage Community for Microsoft 365 Collaboration?
Hi everyone! As a trainer, I often get great questions during my Microsoft 365 sessions. While I share answers live, only the attendees benefit—leaving many others without that valuable info. I’ve already set up a Microsoft Learning Pathways SharePoint site as a resource, but I’m exploring ways to extend knowledge-sharing beyond the classroom.Has anyone created or participated in a Viva Engage community to share tips, answer questions, and collaborate around daily Microsoft 365 tools? I’d love to hear about your experiences, best practices, or ideas on how to maximize impact and reach across your organizations. Thanks in advance for sharing! Let’s empower everyone to get more from Microsoft 365.😃29Views1like0CommentsUser Microsoft 365 Apps Freeze when Trying to Save
Having a strange issue with one of our users when using Microsoft 365 Apps on a Windows 11 system. The original behavior reported was when he was trying to save a document to OneDrive. He gets a processing box but it never completes and the app freezes. Then he noticed if you just did a Save As from any of the Office Apps you get the blank page and the app freezes. Sometimes a reboot resolves the issue but only for a short time. Here are some items we have tried to this point: Have tried pausing synching in OneDrive repairing office 365 Reinstalling office 365 Saved to downloads > Can reopen document but when trying to save as again the page is blank. Will either have to force close in task manager or let it sit until "waiting for another application to complete an OLE action" then closing Pausing auto save to cloud in word/outlook/excel Disconnecting the OneDrive sync and re-connecting seem to work at first but after an hour or so we saw the same behavior. We decided to set him up on a brand new system and after we set things up the issue followed. We are seeing the same behavior on the new system. One item of note is we have a third laptop which has an old version of Office using the ODT installer which is working fine with his account. The other two laptops that are failing have the latest Office 365 software downloaded from the portal. Not sure if this is an issue on the backend with his account or some other type of issue. Just wanted to see if anyone has ran into this issue before. Thanks.SolvedOutlook group contact reappearing after removal
One of my users has an Outlook group with 15-20 contacts in it. A terminated user's email address refuses to be removed causing email bounce backs. When removed from the group and refreshed the contact reappears after changes were saved. Keep in mind that other contacts have been added and removed without issue. I have attempted to remove the user via desktop app and OWA. Cleared web cache, cookies, etc. Account has also been fully deleted from 365 at this point yet the contact remains. How do I banish this contact?53Views0likes1Commento365 programs not recognizing Jabber for tel: links
I'm trying to set Cisco Jabber to be the default application in Win11 for the tel: protocol, specifically for Excel. The first time I tested this, clicking the link opened correctly in Jabber, but every time afterwards pops open a blank Edge browser. Swapping the default program to Teams or Skype for Business works fine, but breaks again as soon as I swap back to Jabber. The default is correctly listed as Jabber in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\callto\shell\open\command. The issue seems to be limited to Office, I've tried tel: links in PowerPoint and Word with the same results but trying a link from a web browser correctly opens Jabber. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on here?36Views0likes1CommentSharing a Planner Plan 1 plan with a guest user
