Teams Room doesn't broadcast video if it's the first to join the meeting
We are a small association spread thinly around the world. We have two Microsoft Teams Room devices in our Washington Office. One is a Poly Studio X30 and the other is a Yealink A30. In both cases, we have experienced a behavior - almost repeatable at will - where, if the X30 or A30 joins a scheduled meeting FIRST - no video is broadcast from the room. But if the X30 or A30 joins SECOND or later - then the video from the room is seen - no problems. Similarly - if someone calls the room directly via Teams - they will see whoever is in the room. However, if the room calls someone directly - or creates a "Meet Now" meeting and adds a user - they will not see the room. This is a terrible bug. I've opened a ticket via our M365 admin portal - but my hopes are not high for that avenue of service. Thoughts?542Views0likes3CommentsCan you find all your Teams Room System devices on Teams Client?
Hi, Hit to strange issue, when searching my room system devices on Teams client, I could not found all of them. Feeling is, I could find only the latest once, but not sure about that. Same issue with other users and Web App. The devices itself are working normally, but this search is lost. No help if I try to search by UPN or with display name. Any others has faced similar behavior?311Views0likes0CommentsCan you join a Zoom or Webex Meeting from MTR using a zoom meeting ID or Webex meeting number?
We have a Logitech TAP for Teams and Rally Plus system. I've been able to get the system to accept meeting requests from Teams, Webex and Zoom. These show up on the TAP as you would expect. My question is "Can I manually join a meeting with a Zoom Meeting ID or a Webex Meeting Number from the TAP device (through the MTR interface)? Thanks! When I run CreateSRSMedia.ps1 under an Administrator PowerShell console, I get an error: “Cannot convert the "System.Object[]" value of type "System.Object[]" to type "System.Version". At line:1 char:1” (Running it from C:\MTR\CreateSRSMedia.ps1). No useful information on what went wrong provided. Any idea what could be wrong??? It is step #1 on this page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/room-systems/console#prepare-the-installation-media I opened a Premier Performance Support ticket, but haven't been able to get a tech who knows what that script is so far. 😞Solved9.1KViews0likes8CommentsYealink HDMI ingest - lag and call failure
We have many Yealink MVC800ii and MVC840 MTR systems running in our meeting rooms. We're seeing real issues with HDMI ingest, particularly using the HDMI cable that connects to the MTouch II panel, and less so when using the WPP20 wireless dongle - but both are not working optimally. The usual pattern is that either presenting or sharing content (both scenarios are affected) works until around 50-60mins into a call/meeting then things start getting really laggy. Mouse moves or slide navigation are delayed and not seen on the front-of-room displays or by external participants for several seconds. The delay then starts to extend to 30+seconds, usually resulting in the call eventually dropping and the MTR needing to be restarted. This is happening in different rooms, to different users using different models of laptop and when sharing content stored locally on their devices as well as opened directly from M365 services such as SharePoint or OneDrive. All indications point towards a problem with the in-room kit, like a memory leak. All of our systems have fully up-to-date software and firmware and I've confirmed that they are restarting nightly via the 02:01 scheduled task. Other than Extron CTL100 workplace controllers installed in some of the affected rooms, there is no 3rd-party hardware involved in the MTR set-up, its all standard Yealink kit. We've swapped out components, cables, and even factory reset and rebuilt some systems. Call activity and system health shown in the TAC rarely show any issues. Sometimes there is a report of 'poor' audio quality in some (not all) of the affected meetings, but generally everything appears 'healthy' or 'good'. Has anyone experienced these symptoms (with Yealink or other manufacturers)? Or any ideas on what to try? It's now a real problem for us as we open more MTR equipped rooms.18KViews0likes19CommentsMicrosoft Teams RoOms : Theme Template (Font color)
Dear Microsoft, We are having our Albert Czech republic headquters equiped with about 40 Microsoft Teams Rooms rooms and in many others across the globe. Questions are: - How to use full capability of screen resolution for background ? Some of our screens are capable of doing 3840 x 2160 pixels with 30hz refresh rate and we want to use pictures with 7680x 2160 dimensions. Microsoft suggests actually only "lowresolution dimensions 3840X1080 pixels" for two screens background. - How to change font color on default screen? (or how to create our own template,we need bright backgrounds, ...) Default screen means when Microsoft Teams Rooms NUC system got signal from TAP sensor, then following screen appears... Hi, there are many OEM partners which is focusing on Teams Room for Android over Teams Room for Windows. There are several benefits but it lacks in some areas compared to Windows based rooms. Is there any plans on closing in on the gaps? Many thinking about two features. The possibility to include audio while content sharing using HDMI Custom branding. Add your own wallpaper. Audio-sharing over HDMI is not a hardware limitation as it works with Zoom rooms using the same hardware. Should therefor be a easy implementation ? 😄Solved1.4KViews0likes3CommentsTeams invite from external not showing join button on MTR console (Using Safe Links)
We are having issue in our company where we are receiving Teams invites from a federated partner but the invite is going through Safe LInks in Microsoft Defender which is modifying the Teams invite URL. When this is sent to an MTR system the Join button does not appear. On the Teams desktop client we can resolve the meeting and join with no issue so it's just the MTR that has the problem. I know we can set some rules in Safe Links to bypass this but I have hit a bit of a roadblock with our security teams around this. Ideally it would be good if the MTR could negotiate this the same way as the Teams desktop client. Has anyone come across this before? Thanks!5.1KViews0likes7Comments
