Connect Windows Server Key to Microsoft Account
So I was looking and searching for any thread on the internet, but couldn't find anything... Well the story is... I have a Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Key. And I probably will switch different server providers and tried experimenting on my own little Server in my basement with an old AMD Athlon 2... so my thought was: "Wait if I use my Windows Server Key one time, it will probably become invalid..." So I would like to know if there is any chance I could use my Windows Server Key without worrying that it will become invalid. I remember that you can attatch your Windows 10 key to your MS Account... but on Windows Server... there is no option for that (probably because it's meant more for Enterprise solutions...) But is there a solution for private developers?
Reset My Computer And Lost Access to Windows
So i recently pulled my old computer out of storage. It hadn't been used since 2017. I decided to do a hard reset, and fully wipe the thing to be able to get a fresh start now that i'm older. (And it ran really slow) I did have issues, I ran into the 'Insert Media' thing, and had to install windows to my usb to fix the problem. I was able to fix it and reset the computer properly. Now comes the newest problem. Now it's telling me I need to activate Windows. I don't have a product key anymore apparently and i'm not sure what to do. I signed in to microsoft using the same email that i originally used, and windows was working this morning before the reset. It has 8.1 installed on it currently. I could really use some help, as I can't really afford to buy a new product key right now. (And I don't really think I should have to?)
Activating windows server 2016 preview
Hi, how are you doing folks? Hope you are doing fine By mistake we installed a preview version of windows server 2016 standard. We would like to know if its possible to activate that version without reinstalling and switching to the final version. On the datacenter they tried their licenses and they didnt work on this preview version.. Any idea how to avoid the entire server reinstall? Thanks
Issue to build 20344
After downloading the build 20344: 1) The iso could be burned into a DVD, it was slightly too long. This may not be a bug. 2) Thet datacenter key, used in previous build, does not work. 3) In-place upgrade from one build to the other refuses. Perhaps we should wait for the next week build.
