We can successfully add regular Skype users to our Skype for Business contacts list but when we try to communicate with them we get the following message: "This message wasn't sent to xxxx yyyy due to company policy." I've checked in the Skype for Business admin center and made sure that the public IM connectivity is set to allow communication with Skype users. And, there are no blocked domains and the default "external access" settings is configured to "On except for blocked domains". Anyone know why this would be happening?60KViews0likes13CommentsSMS Texting through Skype for Business
We are looking for a solution to enhance communications and increase employee engagement through SMS text messaging. Can we do this through Skype for Business? I've found info on paying for text messages for consumer Skype -- is there anything available through Office 365? Would like for specific individuals and groups (e.g., HR) to have permissions to send to other individuals or groups (e.g., all employees) without opening up (and paying for) text messages between everyone in the company. Similar to a product like http://www.textrecruit.com/texthr/. Anyone have information or experience to share? Thanks.42KViews2likes9CommentsJoin Zoom meeting from Skype Room System v2
Hi there, Trying to join a Zoom meeting from Skype Room System V2. We can join the meeting using the SfB client or on a Polycom Trio signed in with a skype account. We do so by dialing: 4105555555@lync.zoom.us However, on SRS v2 the dial pad only supports numeric input. Is this something we can enable, or that might be available in future updates?Solved22KViews0likes12CommentsSalesforce Integration with Skype For Business
A while back you may have heard that there is a way to integrate Skype for Business with Salesforce. We just posted an article to the Skype for Business Community Blog detailing how to do this. Check it out here. Salesforce currently has this feature available as a public Beta. Over time we hope to see continued enhancements to this integration. Let us know what you think!13KViews7likes4Commentsconversation history in oulook 2016
I'm experiencing a Problem with Skype for Business users, who have an addittional Exchange mail account in their Outlook. We are using the latest Outlook and also the latest Skype for Business Client (monthly channel). Our Skype for Business and on-prem Exchange Servers are patched to the latest release. The conversation history for some users gets saved in their additional Mailbox, which doesn't match the user's own UPN or Emailadress. The only way to resolve this issue I could find out, was deleting the additional Mailbox, disable the saving in the S4B Client, reboot, re-enable saving in the S4B Client, test that conversation gets saved to user's Mailbox, re-enable additional Mailbox. Does anybody have any ideas on this?9.8KViews0likes5CommentsSkype Room System - Troubleshooting
Hi all, May I ask how do you troubleshoot the SRS devices? I have an issue where device suddenly (in a new location) lost the connection to calendar (on premises). On the event logs there is SRS log category, but that does not enlight anything. I was hoping to find plase where it really says in which situation the connection fails. But also, can we somehow troubleshoot if the apps does not work? One simple is e.g. the network trace, has anybody success to take locally the network trace on SRS?9.6KViews0likes1CommentSIP 2.0 error 503 incoming from cisco CUCM

We are looking for a way to share presence between SfB (on premise) and Cisco. Specifically, when someone picks up their Cisco phone, we want SfB to show the contact as "in a call". Is this possible? The following link discusses partitioned intradomain federation, but I believe that assumes that the Cisco domain is different than the SfB sip domain, or that a SIP account exists uniquely in one system or the other, but not both. In our environment, SfB and Cisco share the same domain.edu namespace, so I don't believe a match URI to domain.edu will work. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/im_presence/intradomain_federation/11_0_1/CUP0_BK_I91E0BDC_00_intradomain-federation-110/CUP0_BK_I91E0BDC_00_intradomain-federation-110_chapter_0101.html4.9KViews0likes9CommentsHow does a Skype Room System Authenticate
So more on the woes of SrS. I need to understand how this authenticates to SfB. Here is what I have done. I plug my laptop into an ethernet port. I can easily sign into SfB on premise with the SrS account. I take the same cable and ethernet port and plug it into the Srs, It does not authenticate (Exchange online works fine). On internal wireless I try the same thing with my laptop and iPhone, both authenticate to SfB with the SrS account no problem. I try the same wireless with the SrS (disabled the ethernet on the device through admin), still cannot login. Connect to guest wireless, which goes through a different router and public DNS, everything works fine. So does this connect like a mobile device or the regular desktop client? What DNS records does it use, and how does it authenticate, through Access Edge, or internal?4.5KViews1like3Comments
