Hi everyone. He have recently migrated our SharePoint from 2013 to 2016. Due to group politics, right now the Internet Explorer 11 document's mode is being forced to be = 11/Edge. At the moment we have found 2 "incompatibility" issues on the document libray: 1 - The "Open with Explorer" feature/button is grayed out/disabled; 2 - When clicking to open a pdf, the file will be opened in the current tab but also in a new tab... while the expected behavior is to be open only in the new tab. By changing the document mode from 11/Edge to 10, in the IE's emulation window (after pressing F12), all of the previous mentioned issues are gone... but this is not a solution since we can't request the document's mode to be forced as 10 (due to group rules). Did / Is anyone facing this problems? If yes, what have you done to solve it? Thanks in advance! Kind regards.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsSharepoint currenly crash with IE - is there any new update of sharepoint cause of that?

Internet Explorer 11 is still the standard operating environment for many companies which makes the pages with multiple SPFx webparts really slow. Each SPFx webpart by design adds at least 4 cached http requests ( webpart bundle JS file + few other JS libraries like jQuery, Angular & PnP JS ) + Rest/CSOM API for the webpart logic. While all modern browsers can handle that peacefully, IE 11 can't! For a page with 6 SPFx webparts ( ideal home page with multiple tiles ) the resulting number of requests is around 40 ( mostly from browser cache ), again for all modern browsers this loads in less than 2 seconds but for IE11, it takes around 5 seconds, which is not acceptable. Possible solutions: 1 - Bundle webparts JS files but this is not possible for SPFx 1.1 ( on premise SharePoint 2016 ). 2 - Bundle Vendor JS files, while it may be possible to bundle the Vendor JS files but how to configure SPFx to load vendors JS files from common bundle rather than doing separate cached http request for each library. I am wondering if there is any other way to improve the performance of SPFx pages on IE 11.4.4KViews0likes6CommentsSharePoint Online Crashes with Breeze Theme
Hi, After a huge amount of testing and confusion, I have found that with this combination in SharePoint Online: Windows 7 IE11 Theme - Breeze User Access - more than 'read' IE will crash constantly. Doesn't happen on Chrome, or Windows 10, or if you have just 'read' access to the SPO site, or if the theme isn't Breeze. Something has changed in the last few days, as all our sites were configured on that theme. Mentioning in case anyone else is scratching their head with SPO sites crashing now. Edit: This has now been fixed at Microsoft's end.2.4KViews1like6CommentsProblem with old IE version - Sharepoint web page viwer
