I was wondering whether it is possible to add a hyperlink to each Image in the Image Carousel. So far, I find no place to add a hyperlink. I tried adding an href tag under Caption but it does not work. Kindly Help!8.1KViews0likes5CommentsSharepoint gallery feature
Advanced warning - I am a comms manager not an IT professional so please keep any response to lamens terms! In Sharepoint modern, we have created a number of image libraries within the document library. In the back end, you can view these as a gallery, and click through each image by using the arrow functions (see top right corner). So when you click on an image, you then have the ability to scroll through the album: However in the front end, no such functionality seems to exist. You can click on an image but have to close each on individually to go into the next, very annoying. While you can view thumbnails to scroll through images, it's not the same user experience as seeing everything in larger detail. Is there an option to have this in the front end? From my limited internet research it (once again) seems like something you can do in Sharepoint classic but not modern - I may well be wrong though. We are creating an informational site. Author has several collapsible sections. Inside one of these, she wanted to add an Image Gallery. After uploading images from her desktop, the Gallery looks fine in publish mode. After republishing, the gallery completely disappears, leaving only a large blank space. (see images below). We've tried deleting and re-adding the gallery, different browsers, different pictures, refreshing the page, clearing the cache and having others add the gallery without any change. We're at a bit of a loss. Can anyone provide some clarity?547Views0likes0CommentsNeed Recommendations for an enhanced Image Gallery web part
Background: Our art person had a image gallery that was implemented in Flash that plugged into on-prem SharePoint pretty well because that would accept HTML files and just render them. The image gallery would show details of the art pictures like the author and a description when clicking on it. Fast forward to today and Flash is dead. The gallery is essentially dead now and we have all the assets (images, XML configurations, etc) and need to implement something similar in SharePoint Online. I could use some recommendations for any third-party or open source SharePoint Online webparts that create an image gallery by pointing the webpart at a document library or folder that will show additional column details (like Artist, Description) with the image.
