Filter Pane
7 TopicsFilter Pane - sort order and show hierarchy
Hello, I am fairly new to SharePoint Online and I have a couple questions regarding the filter pane in a document library. First, when I do google searches I see images of hierarchies in the filter pane so users can click on one level to open the next, then the next until they get to the lowest level showing a very specific list of documents (the filter, I'm assuming, will show all documents at the highest level of the hierarchy when selected, then when a lower level is selected the list is further filtered). See screenshot below for "Market". What is required to have that type of navigation in the filter pane? I tried creating a term set but the filter is still just one level. Second, is there a way to get the filters to show in alphabetical order? Mine don't and my users will hate this. See the screenshots attached showing my filters that are not in alphabetical order. Thanks! Andrea3.3KViews1like3CommentsHow to Remove/Hide Name from filter pane in a document library

Hi, The modern list filter pane displays a range control for dates as can be seen in the Microsoft documentation here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-is-the-list-and-library-filters-pane-293561ed-fb2e-4fb2-9a9f-8a21e299e323 My question is we have a number column with many different numerical values, instead of all of the different individual values displayed as checkboxes is it possible to configure this to be displayed as a similar range control? Thanks1.3KViews0likes0CommentsBlank page when opening document library with filter pane open
We experience an issue in SharePoint Online with document libraries. When opening a filter pane in a document library, navigate to another section of the site, navigate back to the document library the site shows a blank page. We tested this in multiple tenants with multiple browsers, all of them show similar results. Does anyone else experience this behavior?2.5KViews0likes2CommentsManaged Metadata Column Filter - Incomplete Filter Choice Values
A managed metadata column with ~215 terms only displays the first ~100 or so when attempting to filter documents in a view by that column. I can tag documents with any of the terms in the set, but cannot filter a view with values beyond the 100th or so term. I've scrolled to the bottom of the list of filter choices in hope there might me a "more" option, but there's nothing there that indicates I could load the other terms as filter options like the metadata filtering worked in previous versions of SharePoint. Also, I've inspected the HTML of the page and validated there are no addition values that might not be visible due to a UI bug or inability to scroll further.800Views0likes0CommentsUsing column filter search box returns any value (text column in modern list)
I have a library with a lot of columns. Some of these are single line of text columns. When I want to filter by values in a column I click the column header and choose 'Filter by'. This opens the filter pane with lots of values and a search box at top. It has 'type text to find a filter' in it. When I try to type a word or phrase to search for relevant column values, the list of suggestions that pop up shows not only item values that match the search, but seems like it returns any value. Seems like this seach functionality simply does not work. Hope MS gets this working soon. Here I am searching for column values that contain 'Konica'. There should only be one value returned whereas the drop down with suggestions show lots.1.9KViews0likes0CommentsFilter Pane Issues
The filter panes in our document library never finish loading the managed metadata for "normal" users on the site. It appears they only load for people who are term store admins. Is this how the filter pane should work? Is there another setting that I'm not aware of to make this work for anyone who has access to this site? Any help is appreciated!1.3KViews0likes0Comments
