Hi Team, I saw Skype for business app/mobile app can be configured for MFA using Modern authentication . I read on Microsoft documentation MFA can be done using Azure AD and ADFS. Is it possible to configure it using any external IDP or federation server sitting on premise without using Azure AD(Cloud). We have vendors like Ping, IBM which supports federation server+MFA capability I request you to please provide any input you have on this type of integration. Hi all, I have a client with a Skype for Business Hybrid setup. Most users have been migrated to On-Line but to take advantage of PSTN features, some users require to be on-premise. When migrating a test user back to on-premise, the user is able to see contacts and presence. After logging off and back on, it comes up as unknown. I followed this article http://www.open-a-socket.com/index.php/2017/09/16/how-to-suppress-skype-for-business-attribute-synchronisation-in-aad-connect/ to suppress AD Sync Attributes but the issue still persists. There is something in AAD Connect sync that changes config but I have exhausted everything. Any ideas as to what to look at? San-J755Views0likes0Commentsauthentication issue??
Hi All I am not great with S4B so i am hoping for a little help. One of my clients is trying to set up a skype meeting on behalf of another account... he apparently has the correct permissions but gets an error stating that the user accounts in outlook and S$B do not match. i have taken a look and SIP and SMTP adresses for both users are ok. the only difference i can see is that 1 account is homed in Azure AD and the other on Windows Server AD.... how can i resolve this issue...1.6KViews0likes3CommentsSFB SRS we can't sign you in because the server couldn't be reached or the server version is incompa
Hi, We have a demo for the logitec smartdock. We have a hybrid env with ADFS. This is what we did. Create user onprem. (pw never expires) synced to the cloud create mailbox onprem migrated mailbox to cloud changed mailbox to room Set-Mailbox mail@domain.com -Type Room Then we added the proper license E1 Then i logged in to sfbonline powershell and did the following command. First found out what our registrarpool was. Enable-CsMeetingRoom -Identity mail@domain.com -RegistrarPool 'ourdomain.com' -SipAddressType MailAddress When this was ok i tryed to logon to sfb on my phone with new user this is no problem. However when we add the credendtials to the logitech smartdock we get following error. we can't sign you in because the server couldn't be reached or the server version is incompatible. Device is not joined to the domain. Any ideas ? Kind Regards, David8.8KViews0likes3CommentsSkype for Business Future ?
A partner company indicated his new accounts all required Teams to use Skype. his "new" users, when signing in for the first time received a message "Your organization is now using Microsoft Teams!" and would not allow them to sign into Skype. Will "Skype for Business" be retained or are we being forced to use Teams? We are in the Cloud with Office 365 Tennant space, no On premise Skype servers. Hi, We have federated users (e.g. @123.com) joining a SFB session hosted by our user (e.g. @aaa.com). In this meeting, the federated users are having discussions in the SFB session when there is no one from our side are in the meeting. After 90 minutes, the session is disconnected. Is there any limitation that after SFB Online detected that there isn't any hosted user in the skype session, therefore, it disconnect the session after 90 minutes? Hello, We currently have an SFB 2015 Enterprise setup which includes an Edge server. I was not a part of this initial setup but have been recently assigned to manage our SFB environment. Currently, we have several domains federated to allow external messaging to these portions of our organization. When adding federated domain contacts, I'm able to see them as well as their status however when we send messages, they are never received. There are no error messages, nothing telling me where to look or what may be wrong. My initial thought is that this could be because while the SMTP and SIP addresses match, the UPN does not. Is that a possibility? What else do you think this could be? Thank you in advance.705Views0likes1Comment
