Microsoft just released Teams PSTN Conferencing service right before Microsoft Ignite. First of all, ensure that you assigned PSTN conferencing license(s) to user(s) Login to Teams Meetings > Schedule a Meeting http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/561745.1.png 4. Setup a new meeting, add attendees as follow. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/87273520.3.png For now, you cannot invite external users as attendees in Teams yet like you can in SFB Meeting Invite, I believe you can do that in soon future. So, if you need to invite external users, just copy the invite message and email them. Attendees received meeting invitation email as follow, http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/02500.4.png Meetings > click on meeting invite and Join button. I invited two users, one user is my internal user who received the invite email, I manually copy the invitation email and send to the other user, who will join the meeting using his mobile/phone; both joined the meeting, you will see a user is using his mobile number to join and while my internal users use teams client to join. The external user called +6531570124 (Toll) number to join the PSTN conferencing. It's surprising to take note that I cannot join Teams meeting using my SFB client though I can see the invite in my SFB client's meeting calendar, when I click the meeting link, it brings me to either use web browser or use Teams client. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/56804.5.png It’s also noted that I cannot invite external users and dial telephone number -- yet. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-05/4621.6.png107KViews2likes2CommentsAppear offline in Skype for Business
Hello Community, Ever wondered if we can appear Offline in Skype for Business? Well, then you are at the right place. Hi Everyone, I have a strange situation in my company, that a delegete cannot create meetings on behalf of the delegator. There are permisisons set to Editor under Outlook -> Account Settings -> Delegate Access. Also Delegated access set under Skype for business -> Tools -> Options -> Call forwarding -> Edit my delegate members Skype client policy under the user exists has a setting "EnableExchangeDelegateSync = True" Delegator has signed out from Skype and signed back in to confirm the access, but when the delegate tries to create a meeting on Delegator calendar gets a message, that permissions are denied. Do you have any ideas what else can be missing? I have a lot of other users setup the same way and they are working as expected, except the one that I am describing here. Any tips and tricks what else can be done are highly welcome!Solved64KViews1like17CommentsDisable Skype for Business Online inactive time change
Hi, Is it possible to block users from being able to edit the time in which they are marked as idle or away in Skype for Business Online on a Windows device. I can find details on how to change the number of minutes but this can be overidden by the end user. Ideally these settings would be able to be managed server side using S4B policies but this does not seem to be the case. Can anyone confirm if this is a limitation at present. Thanks, David44KViews1like3CommentsSkype for Business not Launching (SOLVED)
Dear All, After a migration from Lync,Exchange to Office365 we have 1 user that is unable to connect not even launch Skype for Business. The environment is Server2008R2,Citrix Xenapp 6.5,appsense based using thin clients , Office365 uses OKTA as authenticator, the user profile is mandatory (spoofed + folder redirection) and is removed after logoff (so a clean user profile at each logon) The user can use Outlook locally and connect to OWA + use the Skype online , Office2016 is connected to the account. The problem is when the client is launched , the splash screen appears .. and that is it , in the event log the following is seen. --- Faulting application name: lync.exe, version: 16.0.8201.2193, time stamp: 0x59b28539 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.24308, time stamp: 0x5be85cc7 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0004ebab Faulting process id: 0x6f24 Faulting application start time: 0x01d4cf4f310f4f80 Faulting application path: C:,Program Files (x86),Microsoft Office,root,Office16,lync.exe Faulting module path: C:,windows,SysWOW64,ntdll.dll --- Some things that can be ruled out are local problems with the installation , the user is having this issue on all 25 servers and 250+ other users do not have any issue , to make it even more challenging we had her try to use Skype on a laptop , same issue! We compared the AD account+attributes with some of her colleagues and we do not see any difference (exept she has a SIDhistory object) , also we cleared the appsense profile and all redirected + cached folder making this a fresh logged on user. Anyone has some ideas what can cause this problem?34KViews1like1Comment"Network Unavailable"
I seem to have a strange issue. Really hard to search for this because the error being stated doesn't match what is going on. When I try to use Skype for business on my work computer it states "Network Unavailable". This is the only computer on the network that has this issue and the problem started after a power outage in the building. The computer has all network functionality except with Skype for Business. Things I've tried with no results: Restarted workstation Tried running the fix on Microsoft office (since Skype for Business is part of the package) Made sure the computer had all Group Policy Restarted the Skype for business server on local network. Made sure firewall settings were set properly and all services running. Not sure what could be causing the Skype for Business to say "Network Unavailable". Any and all help is appreciated.25KViews0likes6CommentsSkype for Business Network Assessment Tool & network 52.114.*.*

When having a 1:1 meeting the remote video is displayed in wide screen mode and the local is displayed as picture in picture on the desktop app (this is displayed similar to what you see on the android phone app). When having the same 2 users participate in a scheduled meeting the wide screen setup is lost and you get the square video pictures on a windows desktop machine (android apps behaves similar to the 1:1 still displays wide screen) Cutting back to square picture is a problem if it is a meeting room as you end up seeing a table with coffee cups and laptops and can no longer see the people in the meeting room, there must be a smarter way to display wide screen when it is offered by the camera, plenty of room on the screen. Something like this?14KViews0likes2CommentsSkype is showing incorrect offline days information
Have noticed recently that Skype is showing very big numbers of offline days for offline users when i do search, although i know that given users were only offline for a few days or weeks. But it often shows 60-90 days. Wonder why is this happening. I'm not 100% sure, but this users might also be using Teams, so maybe it somehow gets confused.Solved14KViews0likes10CommentsWhat address book Skype for Business is using?
Hi I have live in faith that Skype have two address books: Local and web services. Now that faith has got a sratch: We have done some customization to the contact card based on this: Customize contact cards in Skype for Business The surprise hits to me was: depends of where user's mailbox locate it affect to the contact card. I meant when user's mailbox is on-premises the contact cards looks correct. But when user's mailbox is moved to Exchange Online, the contact card did not contains the value. It looks that if user is using Skype online or Skype on-premises makes no differences. Based on above, I have a feeling that Skype is using also Outlook's GAL some very strange way. This assumption I have got from elsewhere as well. When you search a person on Skype, and if you are using contact's secondary address (the one which is written with small smtp:) Skype founds that person also. Is there any clarifications how the Skype is utilizing the address books?14KViews0likes2Comments
