The Tech Academy is now available from the Microsoft Tech Community navigation bar. The Tech Academy unifies Microsoft's learning and readiness platforms for IT Professionals and Developers into a single place. It gives you access to a centralized repository of readiness content and lets you track your progress as you complete it. Our content library allows you to search across nearly 20 channels, including Microsoft Virtual Academy, Channel 9 and docs.microsoft.com, with more to follow, saving you space in your browser favorites. To help you on your learning journey we have also created structured Learning Pathways. So whether you are looking to kick-start your cloud knowledge, find out more about Microsoft 365 or learn about the latest updates to our existing products and feature sets, we have a pathway to fit your learning needs. And the best news is, that whenever new content becomes available, we will add it to the relevant learning pathways. This way, you will never stop learning and have a single place to find out more about our latest product advancements. If you missed the Microsoft Ignite Conference last month or want to review some of the content, do not worry we have you covered with specific pathways for all Microsoft Ignite materials. Hi there! As a community manager and over all tech geek, I'm incredibly excited to be part of the Microsoft Tech Community! Before joining the Tech Community team, I worked in reactive social engagement within Microsoft and freelanced in Social Strategy for a local indie publishing firm. Outside of work I spend a fair amount playing video/board games, spending time up in the mountains or going out to eat somewhere new in the city. Enjoying a nice cherry cider. (Yes, it was delicious.)2.3KViews12likes13CommentsHey, I'm Eric, your community manager!
Hello all! I'm Eric Starker, your community manager - still relatively new, I've been at this since March. You'll find me primarily working in the Cloud & Enterprise spaces in the Tech Community, working with the esteemedDaniMartMS:) I'm located in Seattle, WA. My previous related background includes community management/social media stints at Microsoft, ad agency work, and other work in tech and gaming. I also have a past life pursuing a career as an actor/singer. Outside of work, I'm a big SF/fantasy nerd (still geeking out on last night's Game of Thrones premiere), love seeing theatre, wandering the city, board and video games, and traveling. Great to be here and look forward to continuing to chat with you all here in the Tech Community!1KViews2likes2CommentsIntroducing Allen, our new Community Manager
I am very pleased to be joining a talented team who are dedicated to bringing IT professionals from all over Microsoft's products and services together to help solve shared problems and provide feedback. I am coming in from the Skype (Consumer) world where I have been running the Skype Community and Insider program. Before that I was running the Skype Developer program, enabling 3 rd party plugins to leverage and build upon the Skype ecosystem. I have been a beta tester for Skype since 2003, my first build was Windows 0.93 Beta, and I am also an active member of Windows Insider and Xbox Insider programs. My role here will be to collect and review your feedback and suggestions you have for our community. Using this data and aligning to our internal planning I will build out a roadmap for changes to the community platform and share these with you all. I am a certified Lithium community manager and building strong, dynamic and engaging communities is something I believe deeply in. Outside of work I spend time playing World of Tanks on my xBox, watching Sci-Fi (Dr Who and Star Trek mainly) and being from Bonny Scotland I love to get out and go for a drive in the country. I Love cruising, the picture above was taken as we approached the port of Messina in May 17. I invite you all to share any idea's you have about features on our Community Idea's board or comment below. Allen S6.3KViews7likes18CommentsAnnouncing the Microsoft Tech Community!
