Hi everyone, Quick question… if my Azure VMs are joined to my domain, they should be applying all my configured GPOs, right? For some reason, my VMs are not applying the GPOs, even after running a GPUPDATE /force. At the moment, I am testing some simple GPOs like: Creating a folder on the desktop Setting the time format to Brazilian (dd/mm/yyyy) Adjusting the timezone to Brasília When I run gpresult /r, it shows that the GPOs are being applied, but for some reason, the VM just doesn’t reflect them. Any idea what might be causing this?148Views0likes1CommentConsiderations when replicating VMs to new Azure subscriptions?
I've got a couple domain-joined (not Entra/AAD joined) virtual machines in Azure in a subscription that I want to copy over to another subscription. I only want to copy these VMs over so I can test some patches on them. However, the original VMs will still be online and in use. I've seen others bring up AAD/Entra as a possible issue. Is there anything else I need to be worried about before replicating these VMs?263Views0likes1CommentMigrate VM to Azure
I have a virtual machine running on standalone esxi and I do not have the access to the virtual host. but I have access to the VM which runs Windows Server. How can I migrate this to Azure? I have already tried using Starwind v2v and created 2 vhds (1 for OS and 1 for Data) and uploaded them to Azure. I created an image out of the OS disks and tried deploying a VM. It's been like 45 minutes now, but still it says the deployment in progress. If this does not work, what methods I can use to migrate the VM?2.1KViews1like5CommentsHow to include unattend.xml in shared image (windows 10 enterprise)
We've had a couple of instances of a VM we cannot connect to post patching (to 20H2) with the OOBE prompt for language etc. showing via boot diagnostics. We'd like to include an unattend.xml file but there seems to be little information as how to do this as part of the sysprep/generalise process. Does anyone know how to provide an unattend.xml file as part of a shared image ?1.2KViews0likes0Comments
