Azure Purview Data Governance
4 TopicsDefault Sensitivity Label to be added to migrated files (from Local Network Server)
Hi Experts, We are migrating our file-sharing services from a local network file server to MS Teams/SPO. The requirement is to enable and give default sensitivity labels from the migrated files. Manually assigning sensitivity labels in over a TB of files is hectic and could be prone to error as well. MS Purview MIP labels and label policies are configured, however, at present, only new documents and/or revised files are only having the sensitivity labels assigned. Any suggestions, guide, and tips will be highly appreciated. Thanks, Rhey910Views1like5CommentsCustom Attributes in Term Templates
We are running into what appears to be an issue with custom attributes in Purview. Once they have been saved and the template updated it doesn't appear to be possible to modify the selections that have been added for a multiple choice field type. We are able to add new choices but not able to delete existing choices or modify the text in them. Is this a limitation of the software or an access level issue? I've attached a screen shot of what it looks like normally. Description is greyed out as well because I expired the attribute.554Views0likes0CommentsAzure Purview Data Governance - Data Use Management Policies
Hello, The Purview Data Use Management Policies feature is currently in preview right now. I have not seen it working yet. I have a couple questions that hopefully someone can answer. 1) If a user has RBAC or ACL permissions set for a storage account will the Purview Data Use Management Policy have precedence or will the RBAC/ACL permissions over-ride the purview policy access permissions. 2) Can a user’s effective permissions ( the cumulative permissions a user has for accessing a storage account ) that were set by applying a Purview Data Use Management Policy be seen through the azure portal storage account IAM.
