Add Syncing of PWAs between devices | sites that are installed as apps in Edge browser
I usually add a bunch of sites and social medias to Edge as PWA and install them in Edge: edge://apps/ I would like them to sync with my Microsoft account and to be available on all of my devices, other Windows and Mac devices, so I won't have to install them one by one again.Solved6.3KViews7likes19CommentsNew Feature: Launch Taskbar Pinning Wizard in Edge insider

Hi, on my home computer, I have Microsoft Office 365, but recently, I notice there are also separate icons in the Control Panel Program and Features applet for Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel & Word, with Version number 1.0. I don't know where they come from and I can't uninstall them. They are also present in the metro style Apps & Features Settings. And they cannot be uninstalled from there either. Control Panel > Programs and Features: Metro Apps & features settings and In the Start menu, I don't see these 1.0 versions, only the "normal" Office applications. If I choose uninstall from e.g. Word 1.0 from the Apps & Features Settings panel, it wants to open the chromium-based Edge - but even if I choose 'Yes', nothing happens, and in the chromium-based Edge, I don't see any installed apps!Solved22KViews0likes17CommentsMake Share function in Edge more useful
posting from latest available EdgeVersion 82.0.418.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) the Share looks like this so it expects user to have the UWP apps installed. there are problems with that: UWP is not available on all platforms. on Windows 8.1, on Mac, and soon on Linux. also some popular apps like Instagram, their UWP version haven't been updated in ages. Facebook app is also old. also my installed app list in Edge (PWAs) look like this: You see, I've added my favorite social network websites as apps in Edge, PWAs are better, they do not require installation and experience is the same in all platforms. so now when I want to share something on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit etc, I have to use the method that I've been using since 15 years ago. the old copy paste method. because the Share functionality is totally useless at the current state. my suggestion: make Share functionality in Edge to detect the installed PWA apps, websites added as an app, and then offer them on the Share window as options. when I have Twitter added as PWA in Edge, I obviously don't want it double on my system by installing the UWP version. the same applies to the rest of the social networks.Solved4.2KViews9likes13CommentsFeature Request: Install site as an app for multiple users
I've loved the "Install this site as an App" feature since it's IE equivalent, and use it quite a bit now that apps can just be Start Menu shortcuts rather than taking up space on the taskbar. I'd love the ability to create an Edge App that isn't specific to the user account though. We are moving away from having admin tools installed on IT Staff's individual desktops, and towards publishing them through an RDSH Farm. This works well for 'classic' applications or MMC tools, but more and more tools are becoming browser-based. Whilst I have MS Edge installed on the Session Hosts, and I can publish a shortcut to launch edge to a particular address, I'd like to be able to use the fully immersive "app" experience through the Farm too.1.1KViews0likes1CommentRemove the "uninstall" option from the site icons pinned to home screen in Android
This even happened to me and other people that I know, we wanted to remove a site icon that was pinned to home screen and thought selecting "uninstall" will remove it but then we realized it actually deleted the whole Edge browser from Android! the "uninstall" option is misleading. on Edge Windows 10, the uninstall option on sites pinned as PWA, only uninstalls/removes the site, doesn't uninstall the whole browser. on Android Edge should have the same behavior.5.4KViews2likes16Comments
