Hi, We have the following issue: In a SharePoint, to which users get access based on access groups, users have Edit access to Word docs by default. When the user opens the Word file in Word desktop the AutoSave is turned on. When you change to review yourself, AutoSave is also turned on. This works correctly. However, when the permission to the document is changed to Review before sharing and the user the doc is shared with opens it, the AutoSave is turned off when opened in Word desktop. Users are able to choose Edit anyway to continue editing and then the AutoSave turns back on. My question is: is the AutoSave turned off by switching the permission to Review? If so, how can we change that this does not happen. Or is it supposed to work like that? When searching online and in the MS community I cannot find a clear answer on if it supposed to work like this. Some say Review turns the AutoSave off, others say it should not.19Views0likes0Commentspnp Search-Ristrect data source to a specific SharePoint Library

Hi all, Just created a new library for testing a few things with documents. I imported a fully working sample template (it works on a local disk and network share) to my SharePoint library: When clicking it, it successfully creates a Word document that opens in the Word desktop app, but it's then showing this: Translation: "Word was unable to read this document. It may be corrupted. Try one the following operations: - Open and repair the file - Open the file with the Text Recovery Converter" If I then close it and right click -> Open in browser, it get this popup (first time opening the DOCX): I can then edit my template. Furthermore, if I click on "Edit" ("Modification" here) -> Open in app, it get the same error message as above. This problem is occuring with every template I upload (they are all created with Word M365 version if you're wondering). I want my users to be able to edit a template-generated document from the app, like any other doc. What is going on here? Thanks in advance for your help!850Views1like9CommentsPower App form locale settings?
I have a Power App form connected to a Sharepoint list on a subsite. I'm having issues with the default form showing that I've asked in a separate post. When the form does show, the regional display of the dates are incorrect. They should be English UK, but are showing as US. They're correct in Power Apps when 'playing' the form for preview. I've checked the regional settings and they are as they should be. Also, it ignores the padding I've set on the dates (date pickers) and combo box controls. While creating the form: While using the form in the Sharepoint List:57Views0likes2CommentsExternal User Sharing via Mobile Apps
I have the following Scenario: Internal documents are shared amongst staff using Sharepoint SubSites with Document Libraries. This works great We work with external contractors to submit their work to us, which at the moment is done via Dropbox. Contractor goes out, does work, documents work with pictures and uploads via dropbox to main office. Our annual subscription to Dropbox is expiring and we dont want to renew. It seems pointless when we get all this storage space with our O365 tenant included. External contractors come and go like the wind, so we ideally want them to use their own personal onedrive. Is it possible to share a Sharepoint Library with an external contact but have them access it via a mobile app, either onedrive or some other app?2.8KViews0likes5CommentsDaily Security Passphrase
We operate remote store locations around the US. When a corporate employee calls a store location on the phone we need a way for the store employee to be able to validate that the caller is legitimate and from corporate. We want to create a widget or app on our internal SharePoint operations page that will automatically generate a random security passphrase or code each day. When the caller calls the store, the store employee can look on the SharePoint page and see the passphrase. They can them ask the corporate caller what the daily passphrase is. The Corporate caller can access the same internal page and recite the daily code to the store staff member. If they match, the call is legit. How do I create this widget? Is there something I can use out-of-the-box? I am non-technical so I need help understanding how to build this type of solution.49Views0likes1CommentAutoNumbering Columns in SharePoint List
Good morning, I have a Sharepoint list used for tracking my documents. I manually number each document, but this has become challenging over the past month. Is there a way to automatically create a unique ID? I need something that starts with the two-digit year and has the document number created that year. for example, 22-205 22 for the two-digit year 205 for the document added that year. The number will also need to be reset every year. Once January first, 2023 comes, the following document created will be 23-001. Can someone assist me?68KViews0likes4CommentsUnusual Search Results in Sharepoint "PnP Search Results"
Hello, I have created a sharepoint page (.aspx) to use it as a search function for all of the sharepoint pages which exist in one single "site". I have added a "PnP Search Box" and connected it with "PnP Search Results". But when I search a keyword in search box, I only see some of the pages containing that keyword in the search results. I definitely know there are more 'published pages' which contain that keyword. Even with putting the ListId in the Search Results query, I cannot get expected results. What am I missing here? For reference this is the query I have typed: {searchTerms} Path:{Site} FileType:aspx Thanks in advance!Solved183Views0likes9CommentsPnP search function app configuration on sharePoint mordern site page.
