Windows 10 release upgrades- How does it work?

Question

Where can I get more&nbsp;information about the windows 10 upgrade process (like creator update)?&nbsp; It feel like windows reinstalling itself and keeping a backup copy of the oldest one but I would like to understand a little more how&nbsp;it is made, as I had drivers issues at my last attempts on 1703.&nbsp;P.S.:&nbsp; I meant upgrading from windows 10 release to a newer one, not from earlier OS...&nbsp;
